I know. They are pretty stupid. I heard that in an initiation ceremony, one of them fired their gun and hit another member. I want to trick them into watching Raiders of the Lost Ark, particular that last scene with the melting Nazis.

i'm really horrified by the founding post of this thread, and those who have responded to it with approval. if you put "Catholic Church" or "black people" or "gay people" or "Jews" in for KKK you would have immediately been shouted down and silenced by moderators and players alike. just because you personally find someone's beliefs offensive doesn't give you any sort of moral high ground, and insulting them this way just makes you seem even lower than those you are trying to attack.

um, no. Dubya's released IQ is around 100, making him average. if he was 125-130 that would qualify as "gifted to moderate genius" based on modern standards, so saying that is "not so smart but not dumb" is utterly false anyway.

IQ scores cannot be accurately determined using SATs, and no reputable researcher would even try to do that. SATs and similar tests are knowledge based, and those of us who have both taken and administered IQ test could give you a list of all the features that SATs don't cover...i will elaborate if necessary, but i don't want to totally hijack this thread.

We don't do those in portugal. Anyway, I took an English one and English is just my secondary language (portuguese born and living in Portugal). Maybe that's good, maybe it isn't.

Anyway, I think I might be smarter than some people (Smarter than Bush, that's for sure), but I wouldn't call myself superior to anyone (Except for greedy bastards, capitalists, nationalists, etc).

you shouldn't; IQ tests are designed that way, by definition. tests are adjusted every 5 years or so to keep the average person scoring at 100, by scaling the score system. when you get a score on an IQ test it is based on how you compare to others, so getting a 100 will always mean that you scored exactly average.

and in regards to online IQ tests, i have posted on many topics in the past about how incorrect they are. a true IQ test cannot be replicated by an internet site, since the test must be administered by a trained individual and includes many portions you cannot do on a computer (including a spacial practical section). no online IQ test has EVER been shown to be accurate within more than 25 points, and all of the popular online tests have been shown to inflate scores, so don't get excited if your online test told you you're a genius. if you base your opinion of your intelligence on something you got off the 'net then you most clearly are NOT a genius.

Except for the fact that IQ tests don't measure smartness, wisdom or even intelligence. The only thing they measure is "Intelligence Quotient", which is itself only defined by the contents of the tests.

And I spend my spare time, studying other religions and what they believe. I don't crack on anybody about their religion, and I don't expect them to crack on me (although it happens lol, and I've learned to joke about it). What the world needs now is a sense of humor. And to other Christian fundamentalists out there: Dude, just because you do things in God's name doesn't make it right. Don't believe what other people tell you. Find out what the Bible says for yourself. The people I think are stupid are those who are "religious" and believe whatever a priest or pastor will tell them. Take some initiative people! Ok, i'm partially confused by your question. Do you know what fundamentalist means? It means that you believe the Bible literally. Now some people take that overboard like majorly overboard because they only take some parts of the Bible literally. Instead of in its entirety
And I believe that "the church" is never right. Because no one should trust one person/body of people to decide what is right. Everyone has their own interpretation of the Bible, even when taking it literally. That is, if they take the time to read it themselves, instead of just doing what they're told.

Um.. they aren't all THAT bad... Mensa even has a partial one. I don't think you can acurately say that 25 points off is the BEST result one has ever shown. I am identified as gifted and my IQ on some website (which I KNOW isn't accurate I'm not that naive) was around 130.
