Do you think WHittier is controversial?

Definately- you're a socialist far out to the right on a forum that's mostly moderate-left capitalists.
Not only that, but you're religious. That adds even more controversy.
I thought there already way a Whittier... are you not copying them...
Quarka is quite far to the right. Most of the nations here are very leftist, mainly because of the "follow-the-crowd" syndrome. Can't be attacked for being different if you are like the others.
Many young nations follow the leftists who are outspoken here without thinking otherwise, and why would they, their own political beliefs are not even grounded yet!
This is a sad thing: one should choose their own political beliefs. As I did. As some do.

So being a leftist means that you follow the crowd. Nice of you to inform me of that.

Well, there a lot of "follow the crowd" conservatives too.

I was once a liberal socialist, when I was an evangelist and bible teacher.
But then I joined the military the first time and became a conservative republican.
But now I am too liberal for the republicans and too conservative for the democrats. So the Reps. kicked me out their party (I got back in on appeal to the RNC) and the dems don't want me.
no, i think Whittier is a (unknowing) parody. there's nothing unique or well-constructed about his ideas, which makes him as run-of-the-mill as they come. controversial would be if he had ideas that were well designed enough to actually convince people. as it is, he's just another kid trying to be radical.

Negative, Whittier can do little more than scream slogans, he is an annoyance merely, to cause controversy he would require a modicum of intelligence that was his own.
only if 'contraversial' now means 'loud and angry'. Personally, all his arguments I've seen are the ones that get discredited immediately, which he then rehashes over and over and over again, ignoring any evidence.
But hey, his arguments *do* keep the discussions going (even if it's just people telling him repeatedly that he's wrong), so he's not all bad. And at least he seems to think he thinks... so he's better than a troll.

I think you are "conflicting". You support Bush with socialism. But really, I just want to know, in a telegram, why you got deleted. I want a telegram because I have not had any time nor will I in the next two weeks to post very much on this forum. So please telegram me, because I can check telegrams so much faster.

I like Whittier, then again I know him from other forums also and dont know him to well here in NS.
About the NS being left wing and the follow the crowd syndrom, I dont really see that here. I think most of the left wingers here create their own opinions, as for the right wing follow the crowd syndrom, I think that may be true in some cases, I have seen it. Though I think I am far to right wing authoritarian to be follow the crowd. lol.

take that test there. I got top right corner.

Course, we now know, that criticizing the view that athiests do absolutely no harm and that it is the rest of the world,
basically debating atheism, can get you deleted.

that's odd, i've been posting pro-America, anti-atheist material for over a year now and i have never gotten so much as a warning. perhaps you simply aren't cut out for debating here...take the hint.

nay, it that the liberal anti american bush haters here refuse all evidence that shows just how wrong they are.

perhaps you should try actually presenting evidence rather than just your inflated opinions. i haven't seen you try such a method yet. i have found many people here, liberal and conservative alike, to be receptive to actual discussion and evidence.

I gave them a thread.
They refused to accept cause it was a pay site, and they had the gall to demand that pay for them to be able to look at it.

I pointed them to the url of the magazine I got the facts from.
They still refused to accept it, basing their rejection on the fact that it is a pay site.

if it was a pay site then they were right to ask you to provide a link that wouldn't require money to enter. it is very rude to post pay sites as your evidence, since many people don't have the option of spending money on things like that (myself included), and if the only site you could find to back yourself up is a pay site then perhaps your evidence isn't very strong in the first place. if you get all your evidence from one magazine then that doesn't seem to me like you are putting much effort into your views. try broadening yourself a little, and people might be more receptive.

I suppose they would object to this one too
It says that in all of north america, athiests make up barely half a percent of the total population.
while christians make up 84.9%
http://www.gem-werc.org/mmrc/mmrc9805.htm
look at the 2000 stats, they are the latest.
Whittier-
24-07-2004, 21:03
Although Christianity adds 2.2 million members annually through births to Christian households
eh, being born into a christian household don't count.
You actually have to make the conscious decision to be christian,
christianity is not the same thing as ethnicity, you can't inherit it.
so what? i don't see what your point is. just because a lot of people believe something doesn't make it any more (or less) true. what does that have to do with anything?

They were claiming that atheists made up a sizeable minority of americans.
15% was the claim.
Whittier-

course with the updates stats, on the other thread,
athiests now make up even less of the population.

I think people who post threads on what you think of them aren't necessarily "controversial," as you're asking, but are annoying as heck.

Controversial? No, I see you more as the internet equivalent of an five year old who runs round shouting "poo" in a transparent attempt to get attention.
