I have some mad news stories for you. Here goes:

1. Croation soap opera stars were put in jail for a night after police mistook them for car thieves. The stars, filming in a northern village, were spotted driving cars without any numberplates, so the local officers pounced. Oh well, it was probably more exciting than the plotline.

2. How many of you have ever been laid into on a domestic flight? Well, on a domestic Russian flight, a man was set upon by drunken crew after he went to the galley to get some more wine and that is when the trouble started.

Crazy yes?

Ok then, here is some more mad news. A prison in Australia has elected not to change a faulty alarm system because it would cost too much money. So, surprise, surprise, the prisoners are going to see friends. One prisoner has been buying narcotics and booze before smuggling it back inside. And the wardens haven't noticed a thing. I think we know where the booze went then!

I know something like this, from a few years back:
There was a playground in Wales on which kiddies used to play, but there was a steep drop just outside its boundries, and many kill fell of it and some were seriously hurt. so the locals held a meeting to discuss what to do about the problems, someone suggested erecting a fence to stop them going near the edge, but the suggestion was not looked on seriously as it would cost rather a lot for a small community.
Then someone else suggested that they put an ambulance at the bottom of the drop to help those who had fallen down it. this suggestion was taken with more seriousness and the people actually thoguth about adopting it.

Obviously it is more expensive to have an amubulance there than it is to erect a fence...and the ambulance doesn't help stop people falling in the first instance.

Agreed. How about this? Two russian boys were playing football with a German WWII grenade when the bomb squad was called.
