Mine would have to be Monty Python and the Quest for The Holy Grail, but Chronicles of Riddick is good just for great action scenes (plot consists of: See Riddick, See Badguys, See Riddick kill badguys.)

nah, old school disney movies rock. The ones where the mom dies and the villain is either defenestrated or otherwise plummets to his/her death. Yeah.

I'd go with The Rocky Horror Picture Show if we're talking about in a theatre, or any Chris Guest mockumentary at home.

I don't have "a" favorite, but I do have favorites from different categories. Here we go:

Adventure- TIE: The Indiana Jones trilogy, The Adventures of Robin Hood

Musical- TIE: Singin' in the Rain, The Music Man (with Robert Preston, not
the crappy Matthew Broderick remake), and West Side Story

Comedy- TIE: Breakfast Club (in the video store it was in the 'comedy' section), Planes Trains and Automobiles, Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Horror- TIE: Night of the Living Dead (the original), Jaws, Psycho (the original, of course), and The Stepfather

Sci/Fi- Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan

Fantasy- The original Star Wars trilogy (not the 'special edition')

Family- The Adventures of Milo and Otis

Animated- TIE: 101 Dalmations, Robin Hood, Lion King, Jungle Book, Aristocats, Lilo and Stitch, etc...there are too many to name!

War- We Were Soldiers

Drama- TIE: It's a Wonderful Life, The Pianist

Action- Midnight Run

Suspense- Shoot to Kill

All-around-favorite-movie- Jurassic Park (I've loved it since I was a kid)

My favorite seems to change all the time. But I generally have a persistent liking for a few:

Black Hawk Down
Saving Private Ryan
All the newer Star Trek movies (I don't do the orignal series-era movies)
Hunt for Red October
Crimsom Tide
Red Corner

The following just because Kirsten Dunst is in them, shes my current obsession :) :
Crazy/Beautiful
Bring It On
The Cat's Meow
Spiderman series
(yet to be released) Wimbledon

Wimbledon - K.D in a tennis skirt with those legs, *drools* Anna K, eat your heart out! (The two are comparable since neither are really any good at tennis)

Really? A director's cut out in the theaters? Interesting.

That movies definitely in my top 5. That's where I realized my love of Jena Malone.

I'm going to have to go with Return of the King as my favorite. I just love fantasy movies. And I love all Jim Carrey movies and his most recent was his best movie yet, not the best comedy, but his best movie. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. And my other favorites of his are Me, Myself and Irene, The Truman Show, and the Ace Ventura movies. I'm sure there are others that I'm omitting.

Depends on my mood, but here's a partial list.

The Princess Bride
Dogma
Godfather 1 and 2
The Manchurian Candidate--the original with Sinatra, although I'm intrigued about the remake that's about to open.
Much Ado About Nothing
Highlander--I know it's not a particularly "good" film, but I love it just the same.
Sleeping Beauty--Maleficent is still one of the most terrifying villians I've ever come across.
The Lord of the Rings as a trilogy, all in one piece of filmmaking is awe-inspiring. Separately, they lose something.
Holy Grail and Life of Brian from Monty Python
From documentary, The Fog of War. Most people who know me probably expected F9/11 from that category, but I think The Fog of War is the superior film all the way around. F9/11 is more of a gut punch, however.

Oh....and Dogma, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back....thanks for reminding me (sorta) IncertoniaDe nada. I've got all Smith's films on dvd--well, except Jersey Girl, which I have yet to see. I also have the Clerks animated series, and my very own Silent Bob action figure, complete with voice chip that has nothing on it.

<sarcasm>

Yu-Gi-Oh: The Movie (Because Pokemon: The Movie set an attainable record of flaming fagness and Yu-Gi-Oh looks to set an unattainably high level of anti-heterosexualness).
It isn't out yet, but I think it comes out in August and I just know I'll love it.

Hard to pick my favorite. But for rewatching I have weakness for musicals, even the best movie gets boring after a while, so it's either The Meaning of Life or A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum.
