As glad as I am to see Angelo de la Cruz in safety, part of me wishes that he stayed. As sadistic as it sounds, there is some logic here. The militants will feel empowered to kidnap more hostages, demand bolder concessions, and sadly, endanger more lives. This will be just the first in a long line of more frequent kidnappings, and possibly, more bloodshed. Manila has to realize the gravity of what they've agreed to.
