Just for a bit of non-political social-stirring.
Say you saw your favorite actor/actress in a public function. You noticed that a member of the crowd has pulled out what is definitely a small firearm and is almost already to double-tap your favorite actor/actress around the head.

His/her bodyguards (if any) are all looking in the wrong direction, and its too late to yell out a warning. You're in perfect position to do what Clint Eastwood did in 'The Link of Fire' (eg. leaping in mid-air to catch a bullet in the shoulder or thigh). Make a decision right now, yes or no?

Oh, and to complete your own version of the story. Name the aforementioned actor/actress. Personally I'd take 2 non-fatal/non-paralyzing bullets for Kirsten Dunst (my fave) any day of the week.

This reminds me of a questionaire I took once to become a bodyguard. ( I decided I didn't want to, I haven't got the patience with retarded people it would require.)

Anyway, one of the questions was: Would you take a bullet for your client?

I answered no.

The following question was: Would you say you'd take a bullet if your client asked?

I answered yes.

Both were the right answer. I could have had the job. I think a lot of celebrities bank on a loyalty that isn't actually there. I don't care how cute Ben Affleck is, I'd try to pull him out of the way, but I wouldn't substitute my corpse for his.

Are you crazy? Unless you're sleeping with me or you gave birth to me, I'm not taking a bullet for you, with two caveats. First, screwing me over does not count as sleeping with me, so politicians are on thier own. Second, how recently have we had sex and how much did I enjoy it are important factors in the decision process.

YES! take the bullet now, get millions and media attention later. You also get to go around saying "I took a bullet for..."

I'm saying yes for all of those not so moral reasons, but I guess saving a life is good too...

Now if I am going to die...then this actor or actress d**n well better pay for my funeral and a very nice casket. AND a decent Tombstone, AND they better attend the funeral.

but in the end if I have to take a bullet to save someone's life then I guess I will. St. Peter can't turn me down then! but there are exceptions (some people are better off dead, for the world's sake...)

All of those would need to be a non lethal wound, to anywhere other that my 'jewels.' After saving someones life, they may come in useful!! ;) ;)

I'd take a few non-fatal, non-paralyzing hits/stabs for any of those three, but not a bullet or any high calibre weapon (eg. recoiless, hand artillery peice, Rocket Propelled Grenade).

Not strictly an actress, more a public annoyance (to most people) - I'd take a bullet for Kelly Osbourne. She's lovely, she is. Provided she promised never to attempt to sing ever again. That, and provided I wouldn't die. And that it didn't hit anywhere... 'important'.

I'd take a bullet for Alyson Hannigan or Lindsay Lohan any day.

I'd take the bullet, but not because they're an actor/actress. No actor/actrees could inspire nearly that much respect from me. In fact, there are barely any professions that would inspire such awe and loyalty from me. But, I'd still take the bullet. I'd do it because I'm a good person (at least I like to think I am) and would take any opportunity I had to help protect someone.

I'd do it for a particularly nice and attractive actress, thereby winning her undying love and gratitude :fluffle:

im one of those sad gits who would quite happly give my life to save someone elses, even for somone i dont like, im just that kinda person, i wouldnt do it for fame, or to score with the chicks, or the appreciation, i would do it because i know i would be making a difference to someones life, and that is something that not everyone can do,

Id take a bullet probably without thinking if it was a female - other guys should be able to look after themselves ;)

If I had to I'd give my life for my wife to be and our kids. I'd risk my life in order to protect myself, my family and closest relatives. No one else!

Once upon a time I would probably have taken certain risks for some very very close friends if necessary. But I would never do that now. Not with a wife to be, a daughter and another child on its way to worry about. My friends are on their own. And my favourite celebrity most certainly is! :)

Actually, I agree with you. I wasn't aware that put me in the minority, but oh well. Although I disagree with you about her singing. Sure, I'm tone-deaf, so my opinion doesn't really count, but I liked her cover of Papa Don't Preach. ;-)

if the bullet isnt going to be fatal to me whats sayin it wont be fatal to them... and even if it is no! there is no way on gods earth im dying for a celeb i dont know and besides all great artists found fame after there death actors are artists (in the losest possible way) so id be helpin them (by not killing myself) achieve fame which im sure is all good actors actually want and not the immoral sex and money
