Does anyone know the name of Thailand's currency? I was just curious because I'm planning a trip there. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Currency: 1 baht (B) = 100 satang
Exchange rates: baht (B) per US$1 - 37.349 (January 2000), 37.844 (1999), 41.359 (1998), 31.364 (1997), 25.343 (1996), 24.915 (1995)
*dusts off the Almanac*
The Baht.
exchange rate (official) about 37 Baht = $1US and 1 Baht = $.04US (and yes there is a significant difference). I don't know personally, but have been told that Western currency is fairly usable and even prefered some places.

Ugh, the baht.
I once had to write a paper about how it collapsed back in the 80's.
I never quite understood what happened with the damn thing, worst paper I ever wrote.
