Does anyone know the break down of a standerd army division?(amount of troops and organization.

How about the general break down of a carrier group?

Any info would be helpful.

A carrier battle group consists of mainy sub and crusiers for the protection of the carrier. And a division is 16000 soldiers.

It's a bit more complicated than that...
As Vorringia said, it'd help to know whose forces you're talking about.
http://globalsecurity.org/military/agency/army/division.htm gives a good description of USArmy divisions.
http://globalsecurity.org/military/agency/usmc/mef.htm and http://globalsecurity.org/military/agency/usmc/mardiv.htm give good descriptions of USMC divisions and MEFs.
http://globalsecurity.org/military/world/russia/army.htm gives a good overview of Russian/Soviet organization.

Generally speaking, divisions have between 6000 men (for a Russian light Air Assault - VDV- division) up to 20,000 men, or even more.

Carrier groups are easier, as really only the US deploys them. (A few other countries, mostly European, do have 1 or 2 light carrier groups.) A US carrier group generally consists of an aircraft carrier, an attached air wing, 1 or 2 cruisers, 2 to 6 destroyers and frigates, 1 or 2 attack submarines, and a replenishment vessel.

http://www.seawaves.com/fleets/USFleet-Info/cvbg.htm has a run down of current USN carrier strike group compositions.

Some divisions can even go near 30,000. Though these divisions have not existed since World War I, and afaik only deployed by the United States Army, and they were reduced in number after the war (28,000 soldiers was the USA standard, far larger then any European division in 1917).

And the organization of a division goes roughly like this:
Fire Team: 3-6 men
Squad: 2-3 fire teams, 8-15 men
Platoon: 3-5 squads, 30-50 men
Company: 3-5 Platoons, 100-250 men
Battalion: 3-5 Companies, 400-1500 men
Regiment or Brigade: 3-5 Battalions, 1500-2500 men
Division: 3-5 Regiments or Brigades

Now, this does not include support forces. A deployed brigade actually generally involves 10,000 men or so. And a division at least 30,000.
