Just curious what people think and why. I personally don't have a problem with recreational drugs as long as people are being safe and responsible (i.e. not sharing needles, not driving while intoxocated and the like).

Meh, fine with me. Long as the people under the influence don't hurt anyone else, let 'em do whatever they want.

Like the majority of "good or bad" questions here, there's no simple answer here. Recreational drugs come in varying degrees of addictive potential, and do various amounts of physical damage to the human body--and I'm including alcohol as a recreational drug here.

My personal opinion is that as long as you've got your personal life together and you don't endanger others by, for example, operating a vehicle while under the influence, then pump whatever you want into your veins.

Good and Bad. Bad if you loose control, affect others, good if your enjoying yourself...

Good, as long as you know what you're taking, and how to deal with it.

I think people really need to be allowed to take responsibility for their actions, and recreational drugs are one of these things. When it ceases being recreational and becomes an addiction, then it's someone else's problem, invariably. Until then, they should be able to do as they please, and deal with the consequences. Legalize it with conditions, like they do with alcohol.

I live in southern California, and I'm straightedge. South Cali is straightedge HELL. I'm probebly the ONLY ONE who isn't religious. I'm not joking. People have asked me if I've lived here all my life, and DON'T BELIEVE ME when I tell them I have.

I don't care what others do to their body. I'm straightedge, which means no drugs.


By the way, I don't really like the poll. There's no "I don't like them, but others can do them" option.

Drugs aren't bad as long as you aren't dragging down the lives of others.
