Hm. The dead topic hath been revived.

So, can people tell me what their favourite console is and why (PC does not feature, I know it is better technically, but..)

No flaming, insulting remarks oe anything else that closely relates to that.

Sentences without grammar and spelling should be ignored.

Ok, simple rules, lets see which console rocks!

XBox and PS2 are fairly equal in my eye. PS1 and PS2 are interchangable as well, since there's only one game (King's Field: The Ancient City) on PS2 that I really play. (Final Fantasy XI I play on my computer ^_^)

So it goes:

Super Nintendo
Sega Genesis
Various Gameboys
Trees
Paper
Wood
Sticks
Rocks
Gamecube

Xbox! Better shooters and an online system far better than the PS2, for the moment. And Halo 2 is just over the horizon.

I only play Halo when my brother and his friends need a house to play in, but I really like the game, it is fun. Besides that I do not play any console games

It's releasing in US and Europe on Nov. 9. It's been official for over a month, and this time they actually sound confident that it's going to happen.

PS2 and Gamecube, though I have no experience with XBox. I never had a need for it...I play mostly sports games, and PS2 has online capability (albeit people on slow modems drive me up a wall...)

I love my xbox, I get frustrated with the GC and PS2 controllers. It also has the best graphics, and it has Halo and Halo 2 a couple months away. Live! just got over 1million subscribers, which I play MechAssault, CounterStrike and Rainbow Six 3 on.

And I dont need any stupid memory cards, and can put my albums on it.

Nintendo 64 had ALL the classic games on it: 007: Goldeneye, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Castlevania(:Legacy of Darkness), Chef's Luv Shack (WOOT!), Resident Evil (I dunno if they had the first one for N64, but I know they had the second), Ogre Battle, and hey! Mario Kart kicked ass. They even have Vigilante 8 and Vigilante 8:2nd Offense which beats the headlights off of Twisted Metal.

The only thing even remotely as good as this is that Sega Dreamcast. Mainly because it had Vigilante 8:2nd Offense and Grandia II on it (the only games I ever really played on that... :D )

I totally agree. Same with GTA. Normally I'd say ps2 but xbox does have som reallly fine games, liek steel batallion.

they might as well call it the halobox. not that halo is a bad thing, but it is the only game that makes the XBox worth it... so far, there may be others over the horizon.
