The truth about Islam and Terrorism.

OOC: I am a Roman Catholic. I simply have a lot of Muslim friends and am tired of people who don't know about Islam acting like idiots.

I am sick of everyone (especially these "terrorist" nations) saying that Muslims are terrorists and what not. Also all of the people in these forums who pretend to be terrorist nations and say that they are doing it for Muhammad don't know the first thing about it. I am making a list of things that people should know about it. Feel free to add anything you'd like to.

1. TERRORISTS DON'T REPRESENT ISLAM!!!! In fact the Quran condemns terrorism calling it a cowardly for of forcing someone to do something. Nowhere does it say that any Muslim should be a terrorist. All of these terrorist organizations and nations say that they are doing it in the name of Muhammad or Allah whenit is said that you shouldn't. The terrorists represent Islam about as much as the KKK represents Christianity.

2.The Quran does not say to hate Jews or Christians. It even says to respect them as your brother. Nobody in their right mind would blow up their brother. Another thing that many don't understand is all three religions follow the same God, just under a different name. Just because they call God a different name doesn't make him (no offense to anyone who beleives that God is not male, I am saying this to make it sound better) different. An example is the name Joseph. In America he is Joseph, in spain Jose, in Russia Josef but that doesn't make him a different person.

3.Most Muslims are extremely friendly and are tired of the war in the Middle East. A lot of the Muslims I know are the kindest people I know. That is because they are required to follow the 5 Pillars of Islam to the best of their ability. One of them is that they must give a sum of their income to charity. Terrorists don't give much money if ever to charity.

The point I am trying to make here is, don't listen to all of these idiots trying to act like they know the Quran and act like terrorist nations. Please like I said before, add anything I forgot.

Then obviously the problem is not "religion and terrorism", the problem is "history and terrorism".

You know what I hate? idiots who never listen to George W. Bush and somehow wrongly get the idea that he is against all muslims.

Truthfully, GW shares your position.

God, I hate to do this, but... Hamas has a charity arm.

Other than that, a brilliant post. Sorry about that.

Problem: the prophet was never really clear about in his verzes. For instance

A rough translation:
"Killing one man is equal to killing an entire race"
"Saving one man is equal to saving an entire race"
"Allah will sort out the good from the bad after their life"

Nowhere does it say that the first is wrong and the latter good. To worsen things, the Prophet didnt write the Qu'ran, that was done by someone else who had to "collect" the verzes by visiting the people Muhammed(after his death) visited. And there's the other problem; radical muslims (Wahabites) claim that some verzes are missing from the Qu'ran because it was written down after the prophets death, so they add parts and all of a sudden it is good to kill your enemy(they make their claim right by saying the Prophet took Mekka with force and its correct).

Some muslims can be 'brainwashed' by these Wahabites but most muslims are smart enough to know thats its all BS. Only a small minority will really go radical, and only if they really have a reason for it (Palestinians or Chechens)

There's one more exeption: Irans Shia (Sji'ites), Wahabism is a Sunni idea and the Shia see it as the devils religion (satanism), thats why you'll find no kamikaze-terrorists among Shia muslims. A good example is Iraq where these Shia fight their opponents with conventional weapons (Al-Sadr militia for instance).
