New Chips Ahoy! Chewys 'Digustingly' Soft

I reasently came in contact with a bag of "New & Improved" Chips Ahoy! Chewy Cookies. Not only were they packed with '20% more chips' but they were in a 'softer cookie'.
I fumbled around with the red bag. Finding it hard to open due to a thin, plastic lining around the aluminum; I had to repeatedly use my pinky nail to rip holes through the clear siding.
When I finally pulled the four compartment cookie holder out of the packaging I realized something. Yes, the cookies were softer looking. Yes, they had more chips. But something else was amiss from the former style. They were...thicker.
I pulled the first cookie out and held it before my mouth breathing deeply. In and out. In and out in antisipation of tasting the 'New & Improved' Chocolate Chip Cookie. I moved it half way into my mouth and with great speed I bit off the closer end of the cookie. As I pulled away the other half of the cookie I felt the soft dough rubbing between my molars. Being chopped by my canines. I felt the pleasure exploding in my mouth.
"These," I though, "These are good cookies."
