It's good news--by all accounts the law was way too vague to be reasonably enforced. More importantly in my view is the question as to why parents aren't involved in what video games their kids buy or rent. If I don't want my kid playing a particular video game, I don't let her buy it (like she would have that kind of money anyway). I don't expect the game company to rate it or the video store not to sell it to her--it's my job to keep an eye on that kind of crap. I spawned her; I'm responsible for her--that's the way parenting works.

I agree completely.

Far too many people spend far too much of their time worrying about MY child when they should be worrying about THEIR children.

Parents can be really dumb.

I have the game Grand Theft Auto:Vice City in my house. I also have a little brother in 4th grade. Guess who makes sure he doesn't play it? Not them -_-. I swear, that house will fall apart without me...

Yes, but should you really beat him up to keep him from playing a violent video game? :P
