Just in general. McCain as President and Dole as the vice would rock!

i don't know enough about mrs. dole , but sen. mccain seems to have a level of honesty and integrety that is far beyond the norm for a politician. he would be hard top beat in a general election, but hard to nominate because he is a moderate leaning old school conservative in a party whose apparatus is dominated by neo cons and religious rightists who tend to call people of mccain's stripe rinos and such(republicans in name only).

If we had to have him, I wouldn't complain that much. That's how I'll put it.

As for Dole, I have no idea what her politics are.

In general, I would say no, because both McCain and Dole are too conservative for my tastes. If I had a choice between them and the current President and VP, then yes, because quite frankly, a ticket of syphilitic monkey and a retarded banana slug would be better than the current team. If I had a choice between McCain/Dole and the Democratic ticket, I'd go with the Democrats.

I can't stand McCain. He favored renewing relations with the barbarous government of Vietnam, he's a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, he's a big supporter of foreign aid to Israel (whereas true conservatives oppose ALL foreign aid), he supports Bush, he's friends with slimeball John Kerry, he helped Kerry cover up evidence that many POWs are still alive and being held in Southeast Asia, I heard he's extremely arrogant and rude, etc...

Okay, McCain, I don't know about, but Kerry did. Go to www.hanoijohnkerry.org (or .com, I'm not sure) and check out their MANY links to other anti-Kerry sites made by veterans. See for yourself. However, since, in the commercials, it says McCain and Kerry worked together on the POW issues, I assume McCain helped with the cover-up.

I like McCain. For a republican, he seems to have a very realistic view of the economy. He isn't afraid to stand against his own party if he thinks they are wrong. He isn't afraid to side with democrats if he thinks they're right.

I don't agree with him on all his opinions, but I value integrity. I would have rather seen him running for President for the republicans than Bush. If he had, I would have a tough time voting. Do I vote for McCain who I don't totally agree with, but I trust... or Kerry who I am closer to politically, but don't trust?

I think McCain could beat Kerry. I don't think Bush can.
