What computer function allows you to see things you can't see?

I've figured out the clue on that page, I've found the hidden text and figured out what it refers to, but when I get to the password prompt I get stuck. And I don't know what computer function allows me to see things I can't see.

I hadn't been, but even now that I am it's not working.

Just answer this, does the name Gerald have anything to do with this, I think it probably doesn't, but knowing for sure would be nice.

Yeah. Clicking on the picture pops of a message box with the time from the computer clock and a message that says "The boy will die alone" in Dutch. I don't know what it means. My guess is that there's some cipher in the numbes at the bottom but I'm lazy and don't want to figure them out. Also, the picture seems to flash every so often with something in white, it looks to be the same format as the numbers, sets of three, but I don't have time to read them. It says "Patience, so I wonder if it'll just show them eventually, but who knows with these sorts of things.

Well, I'm at the picture of the furniture truck taken in Colorado, but I just get a computer date and time and a message that, I think, says "The boy will die alone". Once, I got a creep of a tree with a liscense plate thru it... but can't get back there...

There's also a bunch of numbers in threes hidden below the pic
Our Earth

I'm not about 4 pages beyond the Truck picture page, but I'm pretty well stuck. The page I'm on has a black background with a ton of seemingly random letters, most in black, but some in color. I think there's some relation to the numbers in the descriptions of each forum on the "comet is coming" page because the formatting is similar, but I can't figure it out.

Well, I found a URL that took me to another creep,(mainly black with a row of lights) , but it just doesn't seem right to get here the way that I did, feels like cheating... Still stuck on the truck. Heres a thought, there are two addresses on the truck, street addresses I'm assuming. Both in Niether, Co. Two addys in Niether? Hmmm. awfully close to Neither... Plus, the picture is actually divided in two, methinks there is more here than meets the eye..

Anyone gotten into Dorthey and Scarecrow?

Master and betrayal i got past and after that theres one dead-end(or so it seems) and one black window that if you mark all and copy+paste into notepad gives you quite a few letters. I can't get any futher here.

Cat-thingy i get past. Cant make out much of that pic but i can get to a new one with ALOT of letters in threes. Some you can see, but to see all you gotta mark the whole page. Can't get any futher there.

Now, my guess is that the info you gotten in those two paths are clues to the username and password into the third path. How to get there, I dunno tho.

I have cheated to get as far as i did. Cheating meaning I have read forums of other who have tryed. Sadly, I am not any better then they are, rather worse, hehe.

It also seems that the creator pops into this forums and drops aditinal clues if they start to investigate this enough...

I drop you some hints about the truckpage.

When you load the startpage there is a popup window that says help me i am drowning. Romour says that a guy have drowned in a surtain sea that have change name. The coordinates of where the sea is are actually found on the truck in the pic. I can also say that the old name of the sea has been stated in this thread...

Hope I haven't done it to easy for you now.

I somehow think it all ends up to figure out the story about that guy who drowned. And somewhere iI think i read it wasn't just a drowning, but a murder...

Okay, so now I'm on the page with the sign in the tree and the noise is really creeping me out. (Well, my friends and I have vowed only to work on this between 1am and 6am to make it much more interesting for our sakes...so yea). I thought playing through Silent Hill (the first one because the second one sucked and took like 2 hours to beat without any sort of walkthrough the first time) at 2am was creepy. That is NOTHING compared to how freaked out this puzzle is making me...

Anyway, what I've got so far on the tree page:
"A Future lived in Past Tense"
on the sign I think it says "Edith Head"
a mouse over with a blank pop up.
something about a dead cat
the same message about finding where the boy dies from the previous page
"whatcomesafterwetirefromchasingsheep" or something like that
And the password prompt by clicking on the sign..."What fine drapes we make..." or something like that.
-----
Those are just the clues I've found and not sure what they all add up to yet, anyway, on the previous page, the stuff the blips is similiar to the other 3 strings of code that can be found on the page, however you don't need the stuff in the image nor the stuff below the image to move on to the next page, but I'm starting to think that we might need it later on...also, on the page with the tree, my friends and I are working on speeding up or reversing the sound to tree getting some sort of message out of that because I sped it up some and it sounded more like children laughing but still some sort of voice in it....which is kind of creepy...anyway...yea, have fun!

Has anyone figured out anything about the pop-up that says "Help I am drowning" and has seemingly random numbers in a sound file from the first page?

Conceptualist - did you find the message about where the boy drowned? Between that and the information you get from searching for Zuiderzee you should be able to solve that page.

Again, is anyone at the page, "Hide your sorrows?"
Uh, I just got to the Hide Your Sorrows page. I wrote down the random numbers earlier but didn't save it. Anyway...if you Ctrl+A the Hide your Sorrows page (it is an Ascii image of a candle btw), and paste it, you get what I posted above, but I just found out that it repeats and can be slimmed down to:

Those are the seemingly random numbers from the very first page. If we translate this using our A=0 B=1 etc we get jibberish.

I'm also starting to wonder if at the page with the truck, we might have taken the wrong path and all of the stuff leading from there is just to throw us off...I mean, that page didn't have a clickthrough so maybe there is another path...

Yea, I just figured that one out and I opened the Curiosity Killed The Cat link...but it goes no where. All I got is a mouse over that pops up "A life half lived..." and a link "Are you the first" that takes me back. I'm going to look at the source now.

Also, I don't want to look at their forum because they give stuff away. I want to solve this, not just get to the end.

there is a small place on that pic where you can get 1 page futher. But that is a dead end. But I think the info behind Master and Betreal and the cat-thingy will provide hints to crack the login and pass to Dorthy and Scarcrow. And when you get there, you can get futher.

Uh...yea...read through the end of the posts...I've already got inito the cat thing and into the hide your sorrows page. Also, I think the Dorothy and Scarecrow is a new link. I heard it was only added in an update the guy did. But anyway, it doesn't have a MouseOver like the other two links do and also in Mozilla, it doesn't change my cursor to a crosshair like the other two and the picture credit do...
Anyway, on the page past that, the one of the road and the truck, I know how to get past that page, but did you notice that you can click on "Taken" and it does something? I'm nore sure what exactly happens though...

Also, let's please not post any solutions to puzzles in this thread. Only small hints. If you want a bigger hint or a solution you should Telegram the people who obviously know whatever solution you seek and have them send you the solution. This way the people who want minor help or want to discuss a puzzle they're working on don't have to have the puzzle ruined by accidentily reading the solution.

You get some info when doing so. But have you gotten to the Black page past the tree with the 2 eyes? Did you get anything from there? Well, try the same thing on the car-on-a-road pic. Haven't tryed it myself, but by the looks of it, it should work the same way.

And no, it wasn't much info I got.

the next one has a truck in parking lot, and if you click on it, a prompt comes up and gives you your time, and the sentence "The boy will all die." In Dutch.

also, at the bottom of the page there are hidden numbers.

Decode the message that is hidden in the source as it shows that the answer has two names. Then ring up everyone's old friend, Google.
Learn to get used to Google with this puzzle. Anyway, LaLaLand, I'll give you an update of everything I've opened.

I've made it all the way to the room with the lights. After I got their and after searching a lot on google and such, I found the book, "Dance Dance Dance" from with I got the password to /1/1.htm, this picture of the long, straight road and the truck with the license plate click through (too big of a hint because the first time I looked at that page I didn't see it, then I read this forum and found it....sigh...). Anyways, from those to pages I'm starting to put clues together. So far this is what I have:

-"THEY CAN'T ESCAPE THE STORM"
-"A life half lived..."
-link on "Taken" that goes no where.
-"Are you the first?" - back to page with lights, along with the fact that the STORM window doesn't close when you go to the sorrows window, which makes me think that this is for sure a dead end but there is definitely info here...
-Clickthrough on license plate
-//ALL IS DEAD AND GONE WHAT WAS LEFT BY THE WOEBEGONE is repeated in this page. It was in an earlier page.
-"I KNEW NOTHING OF WHAT THEY DID" <- on mouse over of the license plate.
-"Where?" <- on mouse over of something else... (Mozilla mouse overs don't seem to work, sigh)
-"73" really tiny in the bottom right (which could translate into HD)
-"DH" on mouse over of the "Are you the first?" (which could translate into 37)

-"Hide your sorrows."
-ASCII picture of a candle.
-Nothing in source.
-Ctrl+A and pasted into NoteBook provides an extremely long strain of letters....

There are a lot of references to Dance Dance Dance and The Wizard of Oz. The "hotel of an aquatic animal" is about Dance Dance Dance.

In fact, one password requires you to use both of them ;)

Well, somewhere there are some letters in threes that you can turn into numberss and decode as l'Hotel Dauphin...which is a real hotel and Dauphin sounds like Dolphin...but anyway...
Has anyone else found the riddle that I'm talking about?
Does it lead to anywhere?
(What password screen are you talking about? The cat one? I'm already into that one.)

But it is in Paris and the double click on that page talked about a resort on the Aegean...

And in "Dance Dance Dance," shoveling snow is a metaphor for sex.

I obviously know this, and I've obviously read a lot of that book. I got the cat password, I know about shoveling snow, and I know about the Sheep man. However, if you would pay attention, on one of the pages, I can't remember which one, but I'll tell you in a second, there is a string of letters in sets of three which if you do A = 0, B = 1, etc. through J = 9, you'll notice no letter is bigger than J and you can get the ALT translations and it spells out l'Hotel Dauphin. Now...let me go find the page that came from.

Actually, it came from that page with the picture of the hotel...

BAI ADJ AHC BBB BBG BAB BAI ADC AGI AJH BBH BBC BAE BAF BBA
108 039 072 111 116 101 108 032 068 097 117 112 104 105 110

Translate those numbers for their ALT characters and you get
l'Hotel Dauphin
It's worth noting for sure.

at the threeface page I found a 3rd link, but i can't open it. Anyone know anything about this?

Also, there seams to be a text on that pic in top left corner. Anyone who can make it out? Don't have any good program for that kinds of things.

Did you find the riddle in the "Hide your Sorrows" page? Also, can you give me small hints for find the UN/PW to the middle light and then I might be able to help you? I don't want huge hints. Just tell me how to find what I need to find.

No problem. Although I just realized that the riddle I found (which I'm assuming no one on this thread has an idea as to what I'm talking about) is another reference to the book.
