I'm going to have to say that murder deserves to be on the list more than adultery. Also, "date rape"?? Wouldn't simple "rape" be more suitable for the list? "Human Trafficking"? It isn't the buying and selling of people, it's the owning. So replace Human Trafficking with Slavery. Unless you're talking about "illegal immigration", in which case I'll simply have to disagree that it is among the "7 Greatest Evils of Our Time".

What is "our time?" How can a list be considered a comprehensive representation of modern evils when it includes adultery but not genocide?

You'd be hard pressed to argue genocide in Irsael, but what this really comes back to a question of what is our time? There was genocide in the Balkans less than a decade ago. There have been acts of genocide in Africa and, going back further in the modern age there was the Holocaust of WWII, along with others. Looking at your list, however, I don't think you really need a specific example.

Why does it have to be happening Right Now? The fact that it happened and with all likelihood will happen again is saddening.

I find adultery distasteful and divorce overused, but I don't think they're in the same category as the other 7, IMO.

Much of Genocide fits under Racism, Politics, and Religion, so you've got 1/3rd covered on it now.

I'd toss genocide and replace it with murder, which covers all the -cide words.

Isn't it a bit much to put adultery and slavery on a similar level of evil? I mean, adultery is bad, but it certainly isn't as "evil" as slavery, or some of those others.

Just standing by and cheering while someone is being raped or murder, or going to jump off a bridge.
That is truely a great evil, and those participate in such mobs are themselves evil.
Also if you see it happening or know its happening but do nothing, on the excuse its "none of your business".
When people are being raped, violently assaulted, or murdered, it is everyone's business.
And if you avoid just cause you don't like the bother of helping someone else, then that makes you evil.

Since "Rape" is not a cause, it cannot be classed as terrorism.

Nope, it means theyll each get more and more firepower and then when one side thinks it has the most or is being threatened, it'll attack the other

This is the weirdest list I've ever heard. Its not just that some obvious ones are left off, its that theres some items that seem to suggest other ones. Abortion, but not infanticide (unarguably worse I feel, whether you're pro choice or pro life). Date rape, excluding all other forms of rape? And then of course there are ones that should be on the list, like murder, war, ethnic cleansing... How did adultery get the number 3 spot over these?
