Ever had a nation name you really want to use, only to find it's used by an ex-nation?

What would you consider a fair amount of time before the name should become public domain, and up for grabs again? (i.e. How long after people lose interest in NS should we be allowed to steal their nation names?)

P.S. Yes, I am aware that this has probably been posted a gaziliion times before, and also that it might be better off in the gameplay forum, but this forum does say "Anything and everything" - and the gameplay forum is pretty quiet...

P.S. Was supposed to be a poll - but the "new and improved" forums gave me the same old "Zero sized reply" error just like the old one... :(

I think 3-6 months. but really, it has come around several times. And each time the same arguments have appeared, and led back to the startingpoint.

Actually, i think the best thing to do would be to instantly reuse the nations who didnt have an attatched email, because there is no way they can get there nation back anyway... so those nations are just a drag on the server.
