What do you do besides NS?
I hope i'm not the only one here that does stuff besides NS. What do you guys do.
I run constantly on my highschool's track and crosscountry teams and play the sax, jazzy styly.

Well, I am my school's mascot, I do a lot of activities with my church youth group, until recently I was gainfully employed for 4 years, and about once a week I run a D&D game with a few friends. Yep, that is about it. Oh, I also run track, cross country, and play soccer.
Either study, entertain my gf or play with my new dig-cam :)

Let's see, other things then NS? Well there is the production of NS-O's, and NS-Candy Bars! :P
Actually...
I run cross country, study, write articles for educational sites, read up on Geography in Geographica, practice my saxophone for three different teachers, create and run websites, bike around town for lunch and other items (I live in the country), write letters to other people on NS, take care of animals on our property, cook meals for people, write tests on educational subjects, etc., etc.
Well, not that much stuff other than NS...
Umm, I play guitar rocky styly, stay up all night playing games, sleep at university, get drunk, or maybe stoned if i'm in the mood...maybe even go out sometimes. And that's about it.
(Is it me or are these forums slower than before :( hope that's temporary...)

I'm a Student Ambassador myself. Just got back from Brazil last Friday after spending 19 days there. I draw, read, and basically immerse myself in the Air Force...yes, I'm joining the Air Force. And, I listen to music. My faves are Disturbed (favorite is either Loading the Weapon or Sickness) and Rammstein (Favorite is Sonne). I talk with friends and watch TV. But I still get enough time to exercise...need to lose some flab. And sleeping. That's about it.

Also, I'm in the Marching Band, Boy Scouts, and something else I can't remember. Oh yeah! Eat and sleep.

I also play the drumset. Rock, funk, and (the 999999 different styles of) Latin.
But my favorite drumset style has to be...../
JAZZ!

Uh, since I have been without the forums for so long, I have developed these habits (hopefully temporariliy)
Play guitar (and since everyone is naming style, rock and jazz)
Read (Just finished the newest "Dark Tower" book, starting on the Foundation Trilogy)
Write (articles and short stories)
Play baseball (I just feel the need to keep up the parentheses)
Play computer games (Ground Control right now)
Sometimes I sleep, but I always wake up in a cold sweat thinking about how there might be some new posts.

I'll hunt you down Tellenthion, I'll:
Take away your guitar (and all your styles!)
Take away all your books (I'll bring down the author of "Foundation Trilogy")
I'll take away your pen and paper (HAHAHA and your little hands so you never write again!)
Take away your baseball things (please refrain from hitting me with a bat...)
Yake all your computer games and all the memory and throw it out into the sea (or just use it in my computer)
I'll not let you sleep, give you a towel for that cold sweat, and find "Where do you think?" and chain you to a chair and force you to be on NS 24-7!

WEll, I mostly do stuff online, if I can help it.. rping and stuff on lotrplaza, thinking about lord of the rings, uh, watching lord of the rings, surfing the net, playing my clarinet, wearing a hair net? (ok, no more rhyming with 'net'..)
Riding horses, reading, watching That 70's Show, The X-Files, other funny shows (or cool ones and such). uh, going to school, trying to make money some way or another, secluding myself in the drab recesses of my room and not talking to anyone for long periods of time.. WEll, that's pretty much my life, and it's not that great, cept for the net...yeah.. LIFE OUT OF NATIONSTATES?? UNHEARD OF!! lmao
I just go bonkers, stark raving mad. I have 75 million slaves, emm, citizens to look after. You really expect me to have a real-life life? *shivers* Anyhoo, I read, sing, crap, bitch, check other online stuff, play Yu-Gi-Oh!, just a small bunch of stuff.

elfwood, elftown, vcl, side-7, hip forums, care-2, make 'art' with drafting software on computer, build and modify rail network simulations on computer, cook, wash dishes, wash clothes, build little trains (in several sizes including for my little garden outside, web surf, walk six blocks to my mom's, hug my wife and listen to kvmr, that pretty much covers most of the dayly routine. feed and look after my neighbor's doggie while their away on a fishing trip. sit outside and run the little train arround in the garden. occasionaly i've been known to walk over to the musium i used to docent at, just for a visit and see how things are going there. like visiting my mom this is something i probably ought to do more often and maybe even would if it wasn't so deathly hot this time of year. so mostly i do hide inside under the air conditioning. once in a great whyile i might walk over to the train store or the hardware store and buy something. or ride arround on the buss. also sleep alot and dream a lot and there's a bunch of other forums and websites i visit more or less almost dayly like the european railway picture gallery and of course check my e-mail. always looking for new pictures of unusual and organic looking architecture and some of my favorite more or less exotic creatures like red pandas and pine martins and so on. did i mention visiting forums and lists of ride on size little trains too. and solar and mechanical tecnology sites. and and ... oh and then there's furcon once a more or less year (the con is every year but i don't expect to be able to afford to go every year. and there's the train ride i very much enjoy down to it. there's other cons i'd like to go to like baycon and panthiacon. used to go to orycons when i was in porsfis up in portland, but that was decades ago and before the net).
then there's all the things i'd like to do which i even less often get arround to. but that would fill pages and pages.

well i did play the guitar (mainly classical) but i kind of had that on hold during exams but i will start up again soon. I read (i absolutly eat up books), play computer games, get whooped at dominoes by my 5 year old brother, listen to music (pretty much everything you can think of except pop, rap, r'n'b and hip hop), listen to the radio (generally radio4 or XFM) and thats about it i think.
on a random note i just tried to use my mobile as a computer mouse.
well I...take a lot of classes...just...see...how much I can do before...I explode...or kill something...was afraid I wasn't doing enough, so I decided to take organic chemistry and get a job for the summer...and in a month I'm gonna help some freshmen move in...so I mean, when will I move in? Eh...then I start 20 hours of classes...including 10 hours of research/week (makes up 3 of those 20 hours)...
SO basically I practice masochism by deciding late in my second year that I wanted to major in neuroscience as well as biomedical engineering, AND that I wanted to get more involved in community stuff
Oh, and I live in New Orleans...that's an activity

Well, let's see:
I play with my baby boy.
I boink my wife.
I work two jobs.
I hang out with friends, often engaging in sports. Especially football and rugby.
I manage to fit some reading in here and there.
Fortunately, they say that when you're crazy, the first thing to go is your sense of time. Otherwise, I would probably wonder how I fit all that in. :D

Boink with your wife? Now that is a cool term.
I wrestle for the High School (2nd season coming up), do various church activities, and workout alot. Also visit the forums at heavengames.com. I love to study the American Civil War (I'm a Confederate through and through), I recently joined the local Sons of Confederate Veterans chapter, read, and play Day of Defeat, Sid Meier's Gettysburg!, and Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri on the computer. I love college and NFL football (Go Clemson Tigers and Carolina Panthers!), and I play NCAA Football 2004 on PS2 ALL THE TIME.

God bless NS. Based on most of the previous responses, NationStates is one of the most concentrated bastions of geekhood ever. And I think that is terrific. Those who are young, enjoy that you live in an age when dorkiness is thus indulged. Those who are not young, aren't you glad you lived to see the day? 30 years ago, half of the people on this website would be glued to CB radios, and the other half would be just a little too involved in Dungeons & Dragons. How far we've come.
I just wish fewer of you were so enamored with guns... but that's me.
For my part, I'm a performer and a graphic designer. I spend my time auditioning, designing, rollerblading, trying to gym away my body fat, working the odd job, and reading voraciously (current recommendations, The Wind-Up Bird Chronicles, by Haruki Murakami, and The Man Who Was Thursday, by G. K. Chesterton).
