Battle of the bands (RATM vs. Tool)

In Modern Warfare Bracket, Tool goes up against Rage Against the Machine.

Okay here's how the voting goes. Since the polls can easily be manipulated this is the voting system we will use:

If you post your vote with a nation of 75 posts or more, that vote counts as two. The poll votes count as 1. Technically your vote can be counted as three votes, if you vote both in the poll and post what you voted for.

However, even with this system in place this entire poll can be easily manipulated. So I ask you, please don't... Let's not cheat shall we?

Also, I'd like arguements from both sides on why that particular band should win. So please feel free to post long paragraphs regarding the merits of either band.

The poll will run for exactly 3 days.
After the poll closes. Posted votes will not count.

Don't like either one, so no vote.

Also, you realize the move to Jolt is nigh, right? You may want to wait til after it's done to put this up.

I voted Tool because in this body, this body holding me, we are reminded that we are not alone.

Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all just one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there's no such thing as death, life is just a dream, and we are all figments of our own imaginations. Also, that Tool is the greatest band that ever was, is, and forever shall be. Now, here's Tom with the weather.

lets compare:

annoying: both
pretentious: both
over rated: both
cryptic yet stupid : tool
knee jerk leftism with numetal trappings: rage

technically a tie, but i'll give it too rage on the grounds that they are worth occasionally thinking about, while i feel any time spent thinking about tool are percious moments wasted i will never get back.

Rage aren't in this poll.

I'm going with Rage Against Mummy, because they're pretty damn gay, but they're not as gay as the Toolgobblers.

By their own rights they bothexpress what they need and want to very well, technically and semantically. Danny Carey seems a more competent drummer and Tom Morello seems just a little more innovative as guitar goes. I don't really want to compare lyrics, i cower from that challenge.
If the whole of the music, union of idea theme lyrics riff and tone, itself expresses itself to your satisfaction, then maybe that's the best way to judge.
Someone should mention their brief but in some fashion holy union:
Know Your Enemy.

... there's no such thing as death, life is just a dream, and we are all figments of our own imaginations.

Um yeah... I think "Row Row Row Your Boat" already did that...

I quoth the lyric "Row row row your boat gently down the stream/ merrily merrily merrily life is but a dream"
