At What Age Did You Leave Your Parents' Home?

My parents moved to another city when I was 19, and just assumed I'd go with them and enrol in college. I had other plans, including moving into an apartment with my 16-year-old girlfriend. Had a great time for a couple of years, but things always change...

I still live at home... though I'm only 18.

My parents stopped paying any attention or caring for me and my brothers 2 years ago... And I've taken care of them since then. It's been like they haven't even been there.

And are you ever coming back? And Why would you want to leave in the first place? And Don't you like where you are now? And Why Don't you enjoy where you are now enough to stay?

16. CAN'T MOVE OUT! NO ASSETS! But now that the relationships are slipping I will definitely be going out for college/university. I really hope the slip is a blip and not a long-term thing.

I'm 18 and still at home. I'm at tech locally, so it saves me a fair bit living at home.

18, still living at home.

I think I'll probably move out about this time next year into an apartment near college. Pretty much, home was cheaper, more convenient (I get meals and laundry done), plus, I've stayed in dorms with people for different summer stuff. It pretty much sucks. And it's dorm or home since the University doesn't let Freshmen live by themselves.

But India is awesome! I've been there. Although the US is nice and safe, it gets boring after a while. And the people in India are wonderful. Only a few Americans can match up to the hospitality they had shown us.

You've been there as a tourist. He's there as a resident. Surely he would start getting sick of it all. I'm starting to get sick of Hong Kong as well. Can't wait to go out and "see the world".

It kinda sucks when you have a passion to go out and "see the world", but you're only 14 and have a single parent with low income. And spurland, what are you to major in if your going to England?

hmmmm
i consider that i left home at 18 when i went to college but since my parents were supporting me and i DID live with them over the summers....
i guess it was at 22, i didnt go home after graduation except for shot visits.

my son is recently turned 18 and i cant wait for him to get the F out of my house. even though he is a very nice young man, respectful and fun to be wtih, its time for him to GO. he needs his own life.

I'm 15 so I'm still with my parents. As much as I'd like to move out in a year's time there's no way I'd be able to. Looks like I'll have to wait until I'm 18.
