Yeah! My problem with PETA? They want to subordinate human rights to animal rights.

animals are way cool, but when it comes to getting pissed about silk because you use silkworms it's ridiculous. they're WORMS for god's sakes. they're really not that highly evolved.
A cow would eat you if it could.
I'm going to Bovine University!
Seriously though, why the hell is there an issue in NS where your political freedom is reduced if you jail animal liberationists when they break into private property and steal and destroy? How is theft "political freedom"?

Sometimes I agree with them...like on the fact that Walmart shouldnt be allowed to sell live animals.
Have you SEEN a Walmart fishtank? It looks like f$sking World War One in there, the bottom of the tank is literaly covered in dead fish.
On some accounts I disagree. Burning labs because they tested perfume on a monkey is NOT right.

PETA has the right idea, but they go about it the wrong way. Instead of getting upset about pig farms that poorly treat their animals, and cause enviromental damage. They get upset about things like silk worms. Even though those things may be valid issues, they just end up causing more bad than good, and ruining their reputation.

I despise their tactics -- handing out comics to little kids whose moms, in furs, are taking them to the Nutcracker entitled "Your mommy kills animals," is completely inappropriate. So is destroying fashion designers' offices. So is throwing paint and blood on people.
My one encounter with them was pretty idiotic -- I was in NYC on "Fur Free Friday" walking down Fifth, when two blocked my path and yelled at me, "Fur is murder, don't wear fur!"
I was wearing: canvas sneakers, blue jeans, a jean jacket, and a fuzzy sweatshirt with a cat stenciled on it. Imagine, I was completely unaware that COTTON was a type of fur. /sarcasm.

My take on PETA? They are a wonderful example of the failure of science education.

PETA= People for Eating Tastey Animals
Hmm.. dont know everythign about them, but from what i do know, they seem like hypocrites. Like when they handed out buckets of blood an animal parts or something to protest KFC's poor handling of chicken... where did they get the blood/parts They used from? wont really get anywhere fighting fire with fire..

As has been said, their hearts are in the right place but, their brains are absent.
Only known local act I recall, they burned several trucks belonging to a local fish dealer. Because the vehicles were parked next to the buiding, the power was shut off. Net result about 2 dozen tanks of live fish, crab and lobster were slowly killed by lack of oxygen and overheating (tanks were no longer being aerated nor cooled.)
PETA reply, "Well they won't be on the diner plates now."
Stores reply, "Until they've been reprocessed as livestock feed."

Ever since Man first walked the earth they have prided themselves at being higher on the foodchain than everything that tastes nice in a lightly toasted sandwich with sauce...

They tried to shut down seafood? Thats an infringement of people's cultures, dag nabbit! Man, i'd like to see them try to do that back in the islands... heh. i hope they dont go global.. trying to ban sea turtle consumption in micronesia is like telling native americans they cant use eagles or anything :?
Good ideas gone way too far, bad ideas even farther.

PETA sucks, their members don't know what they are talking about and half the time put animals they are trying to "save" into more danger than they were in in the first place.

PETA are a bunch of incompetent extremist good for nothings that have nothing better to do with their life than protest the killing and eating of meat, because you know, living like we have for hundresd of years is a bad thing. maybe if the PETA idiots would shut teh hell up and go eat some food maybe the people would have more money to put into improving stuff for their animals. maybe peta should go after the epa and usda, that would be awesome. fix all of em right up
