OK, stop saying that Michaal Moore makes up everything he writes or shows. I just wanna know what exactly in the movie was false, and I want legitimate proof that is was false. (e.i. more than one crappy source.)

Bring em on...

oh. well, maybe politicians don't answer his questions because they can't stand his rank odor, not to mention having to look at his ugly facial hair. and the family of birds living in his head might factor in, too. but he tries to make it look like they're hiding stuff when they're probably just repelled by him

I hope no-one will get offended by my attempt to actually answer to the original question of the topic, but the site http://www.bowlingfortruth.com/ seems to provide a fair amount of information concerning the half-truths, twistings and outright falsehoods in that so-called documentary.

oy. Who cares? Bush is bad. He is against gay rights, abortion rights, euthanasia rights, bad for the environment, bad for foriegn relations.
He doesn't believe in evolution, is against stem cell research, and denies the fundamental reasons for the problems of global warning.

===
My biggest problem is the global warming issue; you idiots think that science will solve everything, and that you can keep polluting till your hearts content, or maybe you are so pathetically deluded into thinking that their's a heaven that you don't give a damn about this earth, but if we don't change our ways: i.e. reduce our waste production, improve recycling centers (hello? more jobs), give up our reliance on fossil fuels (if you repulicans can get over the highly economical use of slaves, than you can get over the benefits of your oil fields), and help reduce acidity and mercury levels in water to help aquatic life from dying out in its entirety.

You say it will happen later, well later isn't much more than 50 years from now, and that isn't that very long. We've (scientists/educated/"tree-hugging hippies/the people that make your medicine and design your cars and computers) been warning you (republicans/"moderate" democrats/conservatives/business tycoons) that troubles will come since the 80s, and guess what, they have.
Mercury levels in newborns is 5 times what it was in the 1990s. Amphibious life is dying out do to the inability ot adjust to the pH. Fish are disappearing from killing too man too fast.
Average temperatures have increased about 5 degrees F.

Wow, I'm a conservative, I guess that means I shotgun kittens every day, then toss the pieces into the Chesapeake along with some styrafoam and sewage. After all, doesn't everyone who likes small government?

I hate to lose the credit, but republicans have never been tied to slavery. Back then and today, slavery is the stuff of democrats.

And, just wondering, what is powering your computer? I am an evil republican and even I use hydroelectricity.

Hm. I didn't read all of that site becuase, you have to admit, it's pretty extensive. But I did read the coverage of the cartoon and one or two other elements of the film and unfortunately, I didn't find it very convincing. It seemed to use the fact that it was exaggerated and simplified - as cartoons often are - to discredit the points it made, and to point out its sarcasms and jokes (which the viewer was hopefully supposed to understand as such) and exaggerations as lies and goes on to thoroughly tear each one apart like so many knock knock jokes.

So, all in all I'm not that impressed by this site, but if anyone can find some good Moore criticism I'd like to see it. I just saw his latest, and I have some criticisms myself, but all in all it was very worthwhile and certainly an important and valid viewpoint.

Well that was a different time back then. Back then the Republicans were progressive, now the progressive party is the Democrats. Slavery is a civil rights issue, and Democrats are currently on the side of civil rights, while the Republicans are on the side of sacrificing civil rights for security. These civil rights are guaranteed by the Constitution mind you.

It's not a matter of civil rights; it's a matter of justice. Republicans are for justice, democrats are for injustice. Nothing changed, except that the reps won the slavery battle. *glances left, right, left, and sneaks into a dark alley*
