Wouldn't this be solved by having a "None of the above" option at least for the prliminaries?
The 2 parties would never go for it however......

And pray tell, how would a None of the Above option work with an Incumbent? Wouldn't that just leave him in office longer until another election occurs? I would much rather see a No Confidence system installed but it would need to be really looked at, not like what the Israelis have.

Well technically the sitting President(1 term) still gets nominated for the next election.
The No Confidence probably would never make it here.
The average American would argue that is what the next elections are for.
We also limit the President to 2 terms(8 years).
