The ACLU, The American Civil Liberties Union, won another court case.

In this case, LA County is being ordered by a JUDGE to remove the cross that is small from the County Seal. ACLU claims that this cross violates the seperation of Church and State. The cross has been on the seal for decades.

The ACLU claims that that it is protecting our Civil Liberties but everything I'm seeing is that it has Violated our Civil Liberties by removing CHRISTIAN SYMBOLS from Courthouses to monuments that have been standing for decades.

This clearly violates the Constitution of the United States 1st Amendment which states:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

By getting the courts to rule against Christian Rights, the ACLU is infact establishing a state religion in which God cannot be mentioned on any public grounds without being sued for violating Church and State which IS NOT IN THE CONSTITUTION!!!!!

This violates the US Constitution in every particular!

OK Bill O'Reily

Would you be adverse to Muslim and Jews putting their symbols in the courts?

How is worship impacted by ordering the removal of Chistian symbols from the court houses?

Last I checked you can still pray.

There have been other cases where a city council offered to have a mixture of the major symbols of Relgious law and guess what?

The Christians didn't want it!

Problem with this! We were founded on a Judeo-Christian Heritage. Long before Muslims set foot on our soil! All of these symbols have been around for decades and only now is there a crusade against them by the ACLU!

Sorry but the ACLU has a long record of trying to get Symbols out of the courts and public land!

Remember, Christians, and I mean all christian religions, make up the majority of our country! ITs about time that we stand up to the ACLU and tell them to stop!

The cross and that person in the middle are both religous symbols! The cross was in honor of the Catholic founders of LA! It is on the LA COUNTY SEAL and it honors the area's heritage!

Almost and that is where I have my confliction.

Usually if it is old then it has a history reason for it. However, I thought I heard they were mainly after new court houses but in order to stop them, you have to eliminate the arugment of "Hey they have it......"

The founding fathers? Many were diests.

...no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...

Freedom from Religion, AKA the church (as in, the church cannot interfere in the government) part of Seperation of Church and State

Freedom to Religion, AKA the state part of Seperation of Church and State

The ACLU got the fish symbol removed from a city seal in a town near here as well.

I see no harm in removing those symbols. In the end, not every person who lives in those communities practices Christianity... and there are Christians who don't believe in flaunting their status in that religion.

The First Amendment is designed to protect the few from the intollerence of the majority.
