I usualy don't start this sort of thing up. But what do you think it is?

Worst or best?

If you're asking for the worst I would have to say the movie "The Wrong Turn".
Cannot think of a name

Where's The Exorsist? Mine would have to be Jacob's Ladder.

Though what scared me the most is An American Werewolf in London, but thats because despite an absolute confidence that werewolves can't exist, they terrify me. Full moons and barking dogs put my hair on end (and thats hard to do with long hair)

Though what scared me the most is An American Werewolf in London,

Homer: Oh, wow! I can't believe my very first passenger is comedy legend Mel Brooks! I love that movie "Young Frankenstein"... scared the hell out of me.
Brooks: Um...thanks.
Homer vs. Patty and Selma (http://www.snpp.com/episodes/2F14)

The Tenant by Roman Polanski
That movie scares the hell out of me.
Wait... did you mean classic horror?
Then where is Wes Craven's
"I Spit on Your Grave" or "Last House on the Left"
or the best of them all
Leatherface aka "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" ( cause it's a true story)

If I remember correctly "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" is not a true story. It, like "Psycho" was derived from the story of Ed Gein. Gein first made leggings and masks out of skin. Maybe memory fails me...correct me if I'm wrong

I'm not sure Jacob's Ladder fits the horror genre but it was damned sure scary.

Donnie Darko.
Maybe it isn't too horrific. But it's good. Really good.

Best movie? A little thing called Blood. It's great especially if you want to work with bodies in your immediate future. By the way Silence of the Lambs also has roots in the Ed Gein story.

In terms of scary, "Candyman" definitely has my vote. I saw some of that when a little young, seriously freaked me out.
'Best' is really hard to choose (I can never make Top 10 lists properly either). I really liked "Scream", though the sequels pushed the whole idea a bit far.
"Braindead" is probably the funniest horror film ever (please feel free to differ), and "The Exorcist" is a classic.

There are many great horror movies but three stand out as being the best made:

1. The Shining
2. The Thing
3. Candyman

The Shining was good. The Evorcist WAS a classic. But then so was Children of the corn (beware the corn for it will kill you!).

And no, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was not really a true story or very little was true.

But has anyone besides me seen the Full Circle? It's british.

3. Candyman

Haha it's funny about the scary movie part.. Oh, and by the way, is the Witch Craft Project, real as what they said?

Probably not.

As for the Ring, that was probably one of the most laughable. I love it at the end where they talk about kids talking about their preoblems through drawings and writing. All this time they are comparing that to Samara's killing of innocent people to spread her story.

i dunno, having a guy drill a hole in your head and poor stuff in to try to make you a zombie, then you die, he has sex with your dead body then cuts it up and eats it, saving the rest in his fridge is plenty scary enough for me

But your not exactly aware that he is having sex while eating your corpse.

And a hole to the head is actually quite merciful.

im delicate, like a flower, the thought is enough for me

you are alive when he drills your head and pours stuff in

the cops found a 13 year old boy on the street, naked with blood pouring down his head. dahlmer convinced them it was a lovers spat, they gave the boy back to him. he THEN killed him and ate him

I realize that you are alive when he does it. It's still merciful in comparison to what he could do. (don't make me give you an example!)

And those cops must have been idiots. Why didn't the kid SAY anything?
