Today France was beaten by Greece 1 - 0 in the quarter final :twisted: :twisted: . France is out, Greece reaches the quarter final.
Yesterday Portugal won against England 8 - 7 after penalties.
With this results to of the favorites were thrown out.
And two other great teams, who won in the past - but who were not favorites for that tournaments - Italy and Germany didn´t reach the quarter-final and were both thrown out at the first round.

It has been a funny old season in terms of European football, hasn't it? Not a sniff of Real Madrid or Manchester United in the semis of The Champions League, Marseille stun everybody in the UEFA Cup, and now this. I always thought that somebody different would win the cup, but not like this. Based on what has happened, it is obvous that the Czech Republic are the best team in the tournament: they have proved their resilience by coming from behind in all three of their games to win, and their second string team managed to beat the Germans. The likes of Nedved an the in-form Baros have made this team real contenders, and they deserve to go and win.

Come on Sweden.

Without the long-standing rivalry between France and England you may as well call it off. It would be like WWII without Germany....

Don't you mean League 1, anyway where going up this year. And we have cheap tickets, £99 for a season ticket! However the travelling costs a lot. (I have to travel 2 hours from Yorkshire to Nottingham to watch them.)

most of my relatives are in yorkshire, there's some in Rothwell and some in ossett and wakefield and dewsbury (that sort of area) and then some in Bridlington, i spend loads of time there
