I'm personally glad that that show came to a stop. I think the main reason they decided to put an end to it is because the show's writers couldn't think of anyone else Rachel could sleep with.

it needed to end. it was fine when the actors were closer to their 20s since it was a show about getting started in life. but when they were getting into their 40s it was pathetic that the characters still hadnt done much with their lives but mess them up.
are you going to watch the joey show?

I loved the show, one of the only ones of TV I've watched from start to finish, and I sad to see it go.

I'd have been even happier if it had ended after its pilot episode.
The show was well made. Stop your bitching.

I got tired of the Ross/Ratchel thing and stopped watching it.
I watched the finale just for the hell of it and  they ended with Ross and Ratchel.
Bah BYE!

Oh well, I rarely watch network television anymore anyway. Everything is reality tv and one hour cookie cutter dramas anymore. I'd like to quote Jim Rome: "I hate reality tv, who doesn't hate reality tv, and if you don't hate reality tv, you're not smart."

The Joey show reeks of comparison to the ill-fated Michael Richards show. And Seinfeld was actually decent. Kill Friends and all of its spin offs right now, I say.

I liked friends, but no good will come of a spin off.

I once heard a poll about which show actually had a spin off that was more successful than its original. I think it was something like the Mary Tyler Moore or back in that era.
I guess one could consider Frasier being pretty successful as a spinoff from Cheers, though I liked Cheers a lot more. I would definitely consider The Simpsons more successful than the Tracy Ullman Show but its technically not a spinoff.
All in all though, most spinoffs seem to weakly attempt to grasp onto whatever formula made the original successful.
