Strange addictions

I was just wondering if anybody else gets stuff like this:
Recently I've been playing a lot of solitaire on the computer. Now I can't stop playing it, I can't leave a game unfinished, and if I can't complete it, I have to keep playing until I do. I even close my eyes and see solitaire. Is that weird? Does anybody else have a similar experience to share? What do you think about my sanity?

Speaking of which: I have seen a couple "Baby on Board" signs in the back of cars lately. This atrocity must never happen again. We can stop history from repeating itself if we act quickly and run these cars off the road now. :o

Yay! Normal people who share my sentiment. Thanks guys, for letting me know I'm not alone. I mean really, 'Baby On Board'? What, does that mean "Hit me, please!" I don't understand it... [/rant]

Oh, come on, it's not as if the yuppies invented cocaine. What you have written seems to imply that being addicted to a fashionable drug is somehow better than being addicted to a passe one.
Anyway, I've done coke a bunch of times, and what the author of the thread wrote about solitaire reminded me of what it feels like when you rum out of coke. You can only think about getting more, and any money you see anywhere, you think how much you could get if you stole it. When you have the power to resist, it is a comical situation. Like the time I got addicted to heroin and had withdrawal for 3 days.

How long did you do heroin before that?
I used to have an addiction to cracking my knuckles. It was really irritating.
When I was little it was pokemon. Then it continually progressed:
comp. solitaire
comp. hearts
minesweeper
N64
Vice City
Worms
And now: NS :D
To get addicted, three days of use in a row. Probably did it 6 times before that, like 60 total or something. Didn't shoot up either though, insufflation only.

I tried it once, suffered minor withdrawals, mostly I was just tired.
Oh, I'm also addicted to this strange internet game where you control nations and talk to people who may or may not exist.

Does being addicted to NS count?
Yeah, I think so. I mean, I can't get by without my daily fix of NS. That, and Monty Python. And Post-It notes. And...
