New US Presidential Poll Numbers (Good news for W)

President Bush currently has an advantage over John Kerry in both the two-way matchup and three-way matchups. If the election were held today, the poll finds Bush at 48 percent and Kerry at 42 percent. When Ralph Nader is included he receives three percent, Bush 47 percent and Kerry 40 percent.
Regardless of how they plan to vote, half of the public believes Bush is going to win in November, 30 percent believe Kerry will win and 20 percent are unsure or think it is too early to say.
The president’s recent gains over Kerry may be attributed, in part, to improved perceptions on the condition of the economy. Nearly half, 47 percent, think the economy is getting stronger, up from 36 percent in April. On the job situation, 31 percent think it is getting better.
In addition to the national poll, state wide voter polls were conducted in four battleground states: Florida, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
President Bush does best in Florida, where optimism about economic conditions is higher than in other key states.
Bush tops Kerry by nine percentage points in a head-to-head matchup in Florida and by 10 points when Nader is included.
Bush and Kerry are most closely matched in Michigan, with Bush at 42 percent, Kerry at 40 percent and Nader at five percent (his highest level of support in the states tested). In the two-way Michigan race Bush and Kerry are virtually tied, with Kerry up by only one percent.
In Ohio, Bush is chosen over Kerry by a 45 percent to 41 percent margin, with Nader at four percent. Bush has a slight five-percentage point edge over Kerry in Pennsylvania, with Nader at three percent.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ahhh SNAP! It is looking like we will for lucky enaugh to be graced with Bush for four more years instead of that douche Kerry.

Was wondering when some one was going to post the numbers!
Though I like the numbers as they are now, it is still relatively close race. It still can go either way with about four months to go till the election!
Its going to get interesting in the home stretch!

Ah, Fox news. Well, that explains that, then.
Funny how no other major news carrier is touching this. You would think that such a sudden and total upset would make more impact. However, when you invoke the name of FOX, all your credibility flies out the window.

Hmm . . . well I trust CNN over Fox, and right now (from Anderson Cooper 360), they say that Bush and Kerry (respectively) have %49 and 48%

Dude just because its called the Fox News/Opinion Dynamics Poll doesn't make the poll wrong!
As for a total upset, they have been forcasting a Bush victory for awhile. The Credibility is there. They did have Kerry in front at one point. I'm getting tired of you bashing Fox News! Fox News Reports their poll data just like CNN broadcasts the Times and Gallup polls.
Also I'm getting tired of being jumped on! EXCUSE ME FOR BEING A LITTLE KID!!!!
I"ve done nothing to deserve this! I just report where I saw these numbers! That doesn't they were broadcasted elsewhere. He probably saw them elsewhere. Just because I saw them on Fox News doesn't mean it isn't Accurate. Please stop bashing what I watch!

Despite the usual anti-FOX spam this poll basically follows the trend thats been happening in the past few weeks, that Bush has been gaining ground, after falling from April into May and early June and now rebounding.

Um, boo-hoo?
I'm not jumping on you because you're a "little kid", I'm jumping on you because you are posting on an open forum using statistics gathered by FOX news which is, shall we say, substantially less than unbiased or credible.
Good for you for getting involved in politics, but don't expect people on this board to go easy on you because of your age. If you have an opinion, fine, great, post it and thank you for playing NationStates. If you then expect everyone to just back off because you're "a little kid" and can't take cross examination, then perhaps you're posting on the wrong forum.

Fox is a conservative station so you have to wonder when they post a poll.
It would be the same response from the neo-cons if the New York Times posted a poll and it said Kerry was going to win.
Don't worry about it.
If you want suggestions as to news. Washington Post for Internal news. The BBC for external news. Just use CNN and Fox for skimming purposes.
Never trust one news outlet as they are corporations now.

Bush has already shown that he can only pull knee jerk reactions and push daddies policies no matter what public or world opinion is or how his decisions will affect the world.
As for Kerry, he at least knows the horrors of war and will probably give more thought to sending our family to their deaths.

the poll was conducted by Opinion Dynamics for Fox News. That means all Fox did was pay them to conduct the poll.
Look who also pays Opinion Dynamics to conduct polls: Commission on the Future of US-Japanese Relations, Harvard University, Grocery Manufacturers of America, Planned Parenthood , and Winner/Wagner & Mandabach Campaigns.
Harvard and Planned Parenthood are very conservative arent they

Fine, just don't call foul when people rightly claim you're getting all your info from a biased and uncredible source. You have options, exercise them.

It could be a case of selected questions that would slant it towards the shrub.
Polls are only valid for a short time.

O'Reilly is infotainment. He is not news.
Unless their is shock value he would not even mention the email.
If you want him to say something, make sure the ACLU is mentioned in there and he will! ;)

Again, I restate, if this horse was gonna run, it would have run on all the major carriers by now. It hasn't. It's FOX's baby, regardless of who they hired to do it. I'm not arguing that there might have been a shift, I'm arguing that this one poll done by a biased and uncredible news source is hardly enough to start throwing ticker tape parades and printing "BUSH WINS" headlines.
