I have noticed a huge trend of Bush bashing on these boards, but I have yet to see an intelligent debate on the pros and cons of each, and the reason you are for one. Outright hate for one Party over the other is ignorant. Voting on the issues that you believe in and the candidate that supports your beliefs is not. I am not a huge Bush fan but I do think that he is the lesser of the 2 evils. He has decreased the deficit, the largest one in history left behind by the Clinton administration, even with the huge cost of the war. His tax scheme is a joke and the tax breaks for companies who outsource should be nil, but overall Bush's stand on the majority of my key issues matches better than Kerry does.

Are you joking me? There are numerous threads that contain "intelligent debates" from both Bush supporters and non-Bush supporters. All you have to do is look and ignore the spam.

I would take a quiz that gives you a percentage of the candidates at issues2000.org

Bush- 65%
Kerry- 10%

That was my test.

Um, actually, Bush has increased the deficit, turning a over $100 billion surplus from the end of the Clinton administration into a $477 billion record deficit in 2004. The national debt isn't much better. In the last year of his administration, Clinton payed $216 billion towards the national debt and over the 3 years since Clinton balanced the federal budget and began running surpluses, this total reached $355 billion. Additionally, the national long-term debt was $2.4 trillion lower when he left office than start of term projections had put it at. Bush, in four years, has managed to increase ten year projections pushing the National debt from $4 trillion today to over $10 trillion by 2014. Three years ago, as Clinton left office, it was projected that net interest payments on the debt would disappear by the end of the decade as the debt shrank to zero. Because of Bush's irresponsible and reckless spending, estimated interests payments reach $3.4 trillion, according to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. Also according to the CBPP, should current trends continue, by 2014 interest payments on the debt will reach $486 billion a year, 13% of the federal budget.

I'm kind of like you, I'm not a big Bush supporter. I can't even hardly listen to Kerry because he bugs me so much.

rotflmfao @ Bush decreasing the deficit.

oh my god

thank you thank you for that laugh

as for not seeing intelligent debate about the candidates, there are tons of them... but they have decreased recently due to boredom from going over the same points again and again.

you have just arrived a bit late but dont worry I think we are getting our second wind. once the server has moved and the forums are more stable, I think we will all be a little bit more inclined to participate.

Yeah, I know. I'm an idiot for demanding both accountability and trying to give credit where it's due. Oh well, at least I have pretty numbers to play with. Pretty, pretty numbers will never do me wrong! :D
