The title says it, I would INEVEST INVEST INVEST

Well obviously you would invest. Pretty much anything you bought would be an investment.

i meant stocks and bonds, im just curious if any one else had anything that they would do.

Sink it into some Kickass Sci-fi Private enteriprise.

First I'd pee my pants.

Then I'd pay off my parents' debts (but leave my brother to struggle mwahahahahaaaa) then I'd get myself a car. I'd probably keep a few thousand out to go on a spending spree, and I'd save the rest (not that you really need to with that kind of money).

Think of it as if I won the Pepsi Billion Dollar sweepstakes then

Well i'd put about half away in investments to generate future wealth...

With the other half i'd buy my own island and hire criminals to bring people I hated in high school there so I can hunt them for sport from the back of a monster truck with automatic weapons.

It'd be awesome. I'd leave them alone for months while they established a community, then start terrorizing individuals and small groups who left the camp, and eventually bomb the camp and chase them all through the woods, mowing them down and squishing them under my tires!

billion is a nice round number and i've got a pretty long shopping list
i think it would be pretty hard to resist the temptation to get into some kind of politics
i mean knowing how thin skinned i am and ineffective at manipulating
people and knowing that manipulating people is how the game of real world politics is played and what it's about i'd try reall hard to resist the temptation to
i just don't know if i'd succeed
there's just too many things i believe in the mundane world is just not treating right at all

but then again i think i could probably do more and better for them not by getting into existing political areanas but by building demonstration projects.

well even a billion would only go just so far
so i'd have to limit myself to one or two most important ones

i'd probably start some kind of alternative community for one thing

and the other would be my pet dream of replacing the private passinger automobile with battery powered grid recharged park train sized narrow gauge m.u. trains

well even if that wen't bust,
and i suppose that does fall under the catigory of investment if self venture investment,
well at any rate of course i'd also have a sufficiently diversified portfolio that i'd always have something to eat and live off of.

of course the main thing would be to pull of the combination of lying very low and getting ahold of a big chunk of land somewhere.

oh like i said i do have a big shopping list.
there are some unrecognized tribes it like to buy some land for and donate to them.

maybe they'd let me live there with them more or less invisibly
except for the warehouse where i built my little trains.

one thing i definately would NOT do is 'live large'. as far as almost everybody knew i'd just be some guy that no one knew were he gets what he lives off of or how much of it there is.

buy a new sports car

give some money to charities i support

hire a huge house, cook, maids etc and jet in all my friends from all over the world. There would be all sorts of stuff in the house for people to do in the evening - tv's, billard room, games, books, drinks, whatever they wanted would be there and then a number of minibuses and cars so during the day they could go off walking or do whatever they wanted.
To have ALL my friends together in one place would be HEAVEN!!!!

Well, I would put about 75% of it in my bank account. I would spend about 10% in Hot Topic. And I could spend about 14% on emo vinyl records. And spend the rest on thrift store stuff.

Don't worry, I was here ages and only had about the same as you... maybe into the 3000s, I don't recall

Id take about 200 million and invest it. Take about 180thousand and pay for my RPI tuition. Buy a nice home and one of each genre of car, lots of videogames, pay off my parents mortgage, give some to my grandparents. Find some nice charities, give some to certain teachers that were important in my life (for use in school equipment and stuff).

Buy every CD i could possibly want. A good guitar, maybe a few cars for my friends, and donate $300 million to the Green Party, and a lot to charity.
