So, any Red Hot Chili Peppers Fans? If so, what's your favorite strong?

Funky Monks, definately.

That song is the most awesome one of theirs, I think... I have to dance everytime I hear it.

That whole cd is fun..

Too many to choose from; "By the way" is one of their recent best, but the whole CD is worth its weight in gold. They are undoubtedly one of the new classic bands.

I'd have to say "By The Way" or "Dosed."

I said Under the Bridge because I forgot what this other one is called.

Californication would be a good song... if it didn't SUCK. Lyrics- terrible, music- mediocre at best. A let down from an otherwise great group.

I was going to put By the Way on the poll, but I ran out of poll options.

I like that song, but I put Californication as my favorite.

You forgot "none of the above"...
I pretty much hate the RHCPs.

Nope. Just another bunch of whiney want-to-bes.

Uh...no. You ever hear Under the Bridge? That's a soulful uplifting classic that has remained popular for 2 decades and will continue to be.

I never thought I'd live to see the day where somebody said they out-and-out hate the Chili Peppers. Where I come from, that's almost a sacrilege.

That said, there's so many good songs to choose from, so I have a 3-way tie between "Under the Bridge", "Give It Away", and "Don't Stop" for my favorites. The last one easily has one of the weirdest accompanying music videos EVER created. :)

Yes, I've heard that whiney tune. Neither soulful, nor uplifting, nor a classic.
I can say the RHCPs are marginally better than Nirvana, anothr group of whiners.

"the wierdest video EVER" is an advertisement for an avant garde video director, not a good band. And I would help if that jackass who thought he was ultimately cool hadn't put that terrible whine "Give it Away" on 6 times in a row on the jukebox at the bar a couple of weeks ago. I had to leave before I killed him.

While "Under the Bridge" has more personal resonance to me, I had to put down "Californication" like a good little L.A. resident. I swear, I want to start a campaign to make that the official state song. I mean, who knows the actual tune to "California, I Love You"?

And no fair looking it up online....

Good idea. That would be cool.

It's just so hard to choose one song. I mean, I basically nominate every song on the Greatest Hits CD. But if I had to choose just one, I would pick two.
-Soul to Squeeze
-Scar Tissue
The bassist is simply the greatest who ever lived or will live.

My favourite....hmmm, would have to be "Under The Bridge"

Even better when they play it live infront of 55,000 people as an encore 8)

It's not almost sacrilege, it IS sacrilege. The Peppers have long been my favorite, and will continue to be so, unless they continue to overuse electronica. :) Where do you live, by the way?

My favorite Chili Peppers song is probably Under the Bridge, after that, I'm not sure, there are so many great Peppers songs from which to choose.

Good. Not the only one here.

As for those who ask what I do like:
short answer: Good music
long answer: I've posted enough on the topic around here. Look for it.

they've got too many good songs to pick a favorite one. it's hard to pick one song from a 20 year carreer... so i'm not going to bother.

and yeah, ten bucks says that dastallia ass listens to britney spears and considers her to be the greatest ever.

My favs are:Backwoods, No Chump Love Sucker, and Behind the Sun. Of course, none of you probably have heard of these. They come from their album "Uplift Mofo Party Plan". They kicked some serious ass back then. Those of you who are impressed by Under the Bridge need to listen to this CD. Maybe then you'll understand why some of us "old school" pepper fans look at the songs listed on your poll and shake our heads.

Can't argue with Freaky Styley either. Produced by the man himself, George Clinton!!
