Vote for who you think would be the best vice presidential candidate for John Kerry, also post who you voted for and why. Also, nomiate someone for the next poll. Which the last place person on this one might be replaced by.

Clark did second best in primaries so he would be a solid candidate. I want to see a Kerry - McCain ticket, that would be great.
On a side note, I go to school with McCain's son's so I've met the guy. He's pretty cool.

I would have liked a Kerry-McCain ticket almost as much as the Republicans getting smart and picking McCain in 2004 and booting Bush. But McCain has disclaimed vice presidential intrests. Edwards would probaly do little for the ticket, with Bush being from the south. Clark and Warner both are more moderate than Kerry and might gain Kerry otherwise Bush votes. Landrieu is a woman and a friend of Kerry's so I threw her in.

Clark, he showed well in the primaries and is not a career politician, but unless the Democrats come up with a definate position i won't matter.

What does it say about a Democrat when he thinks he needs a Republican VP to win an election?

It tells me that Kerry isnt even considering McCain as VP.

It says Kerry doesn't stand a chnce against Bush so he needs some Republican votes. (I'm not for Bush i'm for Nader-Comejo)

I'm pretty sure Nader's VP's name is spelled Camejo...and I beg of you, vote for Kerry....voting for Nader is not going to accomplish anything.
I think Clark will make the best vice president for Kerry. They both have military backgrounds and will (possibly) get along pretty well. Additionally, while Kerry is a great politician, Clark is a noob to politics. But the fact of the matter is, he was in charge of NATO. He knows how to do the business. That's the essential job of the VP. The VP does the real work while the Pres goes around on diplomatic missions. (And very little of that in the past 4 years even...)
Anyway, if I were to nominate someone to run with Kerry, I'd say Clinton. Haha. I don't know if the constitution says that someone who has served 2 terms of president can't serve Vice President. I don't think it does, and I'm a loose constructionist. So...

Actualy if Bush loses he'll be the first war time president to not be reelected or so I heard (it may be wrong). Also, if Bush loses it won't make much difference, I believe if elected kerry would revert to his old Senate opions (much like Buhses) and the '08 republican candidate would have it made.

No.
No President in history, with approval ratings like Bush's, has ever won re-election.

Nader's betrayed his ideas and the Greens, as they could have been a third supported party and gotten governament dollars and got us this psycho zealot who has sunk the biggest surplus and given us the worst deficit.
Bush and his cronies have lied, scammed, manipulated and betrayed this country and everything it's supposed to stand for. He turned all the symapthy we got for 9/11 into ridcule and hatred. He has failed in his war on Terror, by using it as an excuse to go for his War for Oil and even failed in that.
He ignored the experts and did it his way and it of course blew up in his face.
I like Kerry but would vote for almost anyone over this raving nutball, or if he's not a nut ball then he is criminally incompetent, he did all of this with a reelection coming up, imagine if he had nothing to lose. If he doesn't go the country will be torn apart and civil liberties, the environment and alot more will be set decades back.
Please go out and vote to get rid of this guy, Kerry might not be making you jump up and down yet but if you research Bush at all and what he has said and done to this country then you know that there is MUCH worse than just not being exciting at present.
Remember to Vote!!! They want you not to!

I'm the sole vote for Mary Landrieu, so I guess I'll defend it. Like Edwards, she's from a swing state--Louisiana. More than Edwards, she's been elected from the state twice and can pretty much be elected to any position she wants for the foreseeable future--she's very popular. She's strong on defense, moderate on social issues, and she's attractive. And while she's female, she's no Geraldine Ferraro.
But mostly I voted for her because I voted for her in her first Senate race in 1996 and I've never regretted it, even though she's more centrist than I am personally.
That said, I think that Edwards is the best campaigner of the bunch up there--whoever said Clark came in second in the primaries was mistaken, Edwards lasted longer and won more delegates than Clark.

Well, I think Kerry and Bush both to much of the same and really think both of tthem would have similiar policy. So, in protest to them I suport Nader. Here is a list of the order of people i'd vote for (major candidates):
1. Nader-Camejo (Independent)
2. Badnarik-Campagna (Liberterian)
3. Bush-Cheney (Republican)
4. Kerry-? (Democrat)
5. Peroutka-Baldwin (Constitution)
And about Clinton. teh 13th Ammendment says the vice persident had to qualify to be president. and Clinton already had two terms.
About the war presidents am eone that hasn't been reelected when the election was during the war.
Depending on Kerry's VP I might vote for him over Bush if it was McCain (but he won't  ) or Wes Clark.

Oh no--I appreciate your inclusion of her in the list. She's largely been dismissed by most of the punditry and while I don't think she'd be the best VP candidate out there, she certainly wouldn't be the worst. She ought to get more consideration than she has already.
