A woman, who worked for Al Jazeera, who's name I can't remember riht now, and probably couldn't spell if I could, made the assretion that the US military's attack on the Palestine Hotel was motivated by Arab media competing with CNN. Does anyone, outside the Middle East believe this bullshit? Is anyone surprised that this bullshit is broadcasted to Arabs? It was alleged that persons in the hotel were spotting targets for those who were attacking coalition forces. What do YOU think?

I hate everyone.

This is why religion needs to be removed, all it does is cause problems for people who don't need them.

No, no your not. Well it depends what you call religion, personally, as a Christian, I see religion as the empty mass of traditions and justifications people use who have no idea or reality.

However, some religion has caused murder and death and the mass slaughter of thousands, so in that case...

I'm too tired to spark a religious debate right now. (1 a.m. where I am) But I will say that at certain points in time, every religion has caused major bloodshed. Even though I agree with you know that Christianity is pretty much a bunch of rituals that serve no more purpose. Thats prolly why I stopped being one.

True Christianity isn't, and if you are truely one you cannot exactly stop.

Now, GO TO BED!

I don't think eliminating religion (while I wouldn't mind it personally), would solve all the world's problems. Religion is often a convenient excuse or tag for cultural conflicts that would only cease to occur if the entire world was just one big homogenized population. And that idea is icky.

For example, take Northern Ireland, where the two sides of the Troubles are the Catholics and the Protestants. Those labels are by and large true for the two opposing sides, but the conflict is really between Irish and British rule. Most native Irish are Catholic, while Brits and those Northern Irish descended from/ co-opted by Brits, are Protestant. Point is, religion isn't really the issue. If they didn't have those flags to fight under, they would find some others.

That said, there are certain conflicts that would be eased considerably by people taking a more open, tolerant, and academic view of their faiths.

You can understand Al Jazzera being a bit miffed at their journalists getting killed by US shells after they made it clear on many occasions to the Yanks that they were in that hotel.
