New Zealand Civil unions bill.

On thursday, the first-stage vote will go to parliment on the civil union bill, which would allow homosexual and defacto couples to have their union recognised by the state. The Marriage act is still being kept for hetrosexual couples, even though its essentially the same thing.

Will be interesting to see how it goes considering they have avioded using the word 'marriage' which is what seems to upset some people.

Well, I just found out I've been married for the past ten years, but haven't had a piss up and presents to celebrate it. :cry:
