American ham? Heck no; that stuff is beyond nasty. Something like proscutto (sp?), prolly.

Cheese? I'd put either swiss or mozz

OUR HAM IS NOT NASTY! I prefer it to cheese on my sandwiches anyday.

I thought this was going to be about which acting style I preferred...

Cheddar...cut not too thick...and Branston pickle. Or cucumber. Or Lime pickle (that really peps it up!). Or salad and mayo.

mmmm. Dezzan, shame on you for reminding me how good a cheddar and pickle sammich can be. I haven't had good cheese since returning to the US. Sharp cheddar and pickle. Picalilly ain't half bad either. I've never had the pleasure of trying lime pickle on it. If it goes with a poppadom, I suppose it can go with a cheese sandwich too.

Cheese here in the US is all pasteurized. That means half-melted before it even gets to you. Like salty, colored wax, it is.
