Instead of quitting NS: sell your nation on EBay!

Am I the first to think of this? I've got 10,000 posts, a 2.364 billion population and a powerhouse economy. If I ever decide to leave, I should put Spoffin on EBay and see if theres some sad sap willing to buy it.

I don't want to sell it yet, so maybe I should put it up there with like a $5000 reserve, just to see how high it would go.

Some, please tell me: is this genius or insane?

Tell me how to go about this? I've got an older nation that I'm trying to kill off.

Genius; there are people buying EverQuest charactors I think, so you might sell a nation

Or you could just give it away, nicely. Make a post in Gameplay and you'll have dozens of people offering to 'relieve' you of your unwanted nations ;)

Insane

know why? People will learn of you selling your account to a new person. The new person using your account will never have your reputation. Thus, the value of your account will drop. People aren't that idiotic.

Now...what if one person was to buy all the big accounts...?

(Oh, and your account would be worth around $5. No more no less. Hell, $5 is already too much)

Wow, that's great, although you'd have to reveal your address to the idiot willing to buy it.... would you be prepared to do that?

That's what PayPal is for.

I don't know what that is... I don't sell stuff on ebay, but my Dad does. I might ask him about it later.

This reminds me of the person who bought a limited edition crystal Xbox box (Yes, the BOX of a limited edition crystal Xbox) for about £115.

I've already sold 12 nations on Ebay. Got like $80 total for them. I didn't charge much.

I started mine off at a $1 and the bidding took the price upward.

I have heard of people selling things from internet games. In my opinion it is stupid that people would buy them but it's possible.

People who find this game really important would love to have a highly populated frequent poster nation like yours.

Hmmmm...I'm 18th in the world today. I think that would gather some interest if I announced I was selling
