For those of you who are still having trouble with this.. I thought I'd inject some wit here, mixed with facts.

I can't think of any one better to explain this to you then Jon Stewart.

Ha!

The Bush Doctrine is interesting in who it doesn't apply to. Not only are Saudi Arabia, Syria, Yemen and Pakistan off the table, so is the US, where many of the 9/11 terrorists were flight trained as well as where many other terrorists were trained back in the 80s. Of course, in the 80s, they were "freedom fighters", so as we all learned with the "freedom fries" incident, names make all the difference.

As far as i can see there is more of a connection between Bush and bin Laden than there is between the latter and Saddam. (How many 'd's are thare in that anyway?)

Exactly, all Saddam wanted to do was hold on to his power and he would have known that to be a threat to American security by supporting Al Qaeda would be suicidal. Saddam may be a tyrant but he is not stupid.

I disagree--I find it hard to believe the President of the United States is the United States's biggest threat. Unless he ask the United States Congress to declare war on the United States, in which case you have a right to be concerned.

Personally, I prefer British humour. This is from dead ringers. Shorter, but made me laugh more. (This is blatently anti-Bush, but they're still damn funny.)

Now we see what needs to happen for Bush to deal with North Korea, and why he wanted to find Saddam so much.
Enjoy.

Actually, in a way, he has. By radically changing not only our foriegn policy, but also calling into question the basic fundamental rights of US citizens with such notable things as the PATRIOT act, Bush has prompted a direct attack on the basic principles of freedom and liberty that this country was founded upon.
