grrrrr (http://www.paknews.com/headingNews.php?id=2822&date1=2004-05-31).

I can't believe a guy punched her in the face, knocked her out, broke her nose and gave her a concussion! It amazes me that people can be so low in the name of morality! It's like was are still basically barbarians who are unable to use our advanced minds for the greater good of all.

What does this have to do with morality? It sucks, but I see no morality.

they are defending "morality" by attacking her for putting up a painting that they think is wrong IMO.

death threats and spitting in her face? its just sickening that these people think they are doing something good when they attack her.

I still don't see where you are getting the morality thing from, but I'll take your word for it.

Yes, it is quite sickening. That sort of behavior is a reprehensible attempt to suppress free speech.

mo·ral·i·ty n. pl. mo·ral·i·ties

1 The quality of being in accord with standards of right or good conduct.

2 A system of ideas of right and wrong conduct: religious morality; Christian morality.

3 Virtuous conduct.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
These people are defending their idea of what right and wrong conduct is, by using violence. Isn't that obvious? If they are supporting the war, they are supporting the use of violence so I guess I shouldnt be suprised. But they themselves support the war supposedly because of violence in another country that they were against. Whether it be against us or its own people, or so they usually claim. So for one its hypocritical of them to support the death of over ten thousand innocent Iraqis, but also the torture of prisoners of war. And for another thing its hypocritical for them to use violence or violent speech when they see something non-violent that they do not agree with, even if it's because it goes against their own beleifs about war, politics, finances, moral issues or what have you.
The artist himself was disgusted by violence and painted a picture of something that he didn't like. That sounds like a resonable way to express yourself.
They were attacking her for being anti-American and immoral, so I see where they would call themselves moral. I happen to strongly disagree with that, it disgusts me too...
I still disagree with your use of the broader definition of morality, but I see your point. Good day.
Violence is the opposite of morality.
