A Few of My Thoughts

Here I am, Jonathan (my real name), sitting at my computer thinking about what I want to do to entertain myself until I go to sleep, and I am thinking that I want to make a few small comments and then see what everyone thinks about them. So while I am sitting here listening to music by various bands, (The Who, Styx, Pink Floyd, Pillar, Tenacious D, etc) I think I shall just let my fingers type and see what comes out of this chaotic thing I call a mind.

Despite current poll numbers, I still think Bush will be reelected.

The Iraq war is not going as badly as much of the left-of-center media portrays it to be.

The Who was one of the greatest bands of all time.

Ok, I have put out my thoughts. Now comment on them as you please, and I will chime in as I feel it is appropriate or fall asleep at my own leisure.

ahh johnathan... you have a good name.
the name of my first mega-crush... *reminisces*

anyway, what i have to say is- there is still a long time before the election. i dont think there is any way of predicting the outcome until later, because all sorts of things happen that turn things around at the last moment. to quote tori amos, "How may fates turn around in the overtime".

and about the war... this week alone, two of the people we have put in power in Iraq have been murdered. this just adds to the number that have been killed.
no stability has been made, we just get deeper over our heads day after day.

there are too many parallels with this war and vietnam for me to be comfortable with it.

and guerilla warfare is not my idea of a good time.

Isn't it funny how our leaders think they are right, even when they contradict eachother? Down with all the canidates: I want skeptical leadership. Self-skeptical that is . . .

"Well, I don't know if this will work, or if its the best . . . but it's better than trying something that didn't work before or has a reasonably better chance of failing."

im not much of a kerry fan myself... but the way i see it, he is the lesser of two evils.

i wish so much that nader would actually get support, because i really want him to win.
but it's just unrealistic, he would never get enough support... so really, voting for him is like voting for bush, which is definately somethign i don't want to do.

then again, it's not up to me... seeing as i can't vote... yet.
ohhh just you wait, america! wahahahaha  :P

I know another allen. Well, I should say I know an Allyn. She is an ok person, bit liberal for my taste, but a good friend none the less.

My name is Calden. I don't know anyone with my name. There is an airport in German named Calden something. And some travel agency. That is about all I found with my name last time I googled it.

That would be funny. Funnier still, leaders with absolutly know self-confidence.

"I am sure that my proposal will work exactly as intended....well, that is if you think it does.....maybe I should just let you handle it....yeah that would be best....I'm not sure I could think up the right idea..."

By the way, I am not trying to start up any great political debate right now. If you want to do that go to my other thread a few pages down, I just feel like being goofy at the moment and want to see some amusing responses.

Better a president who's cautious than one who think he can jump over the Grand Canyon . . . Or worse, better one who's cautious than one who takes a hundred people with him to the Grand Canyon's floor (the real easy way).

Me, not vote? Ha! I will be voting this year, and it will be for Bush unless some sort of terrible catastrophe befalls America for which Bush alone is to blame. Oh yeah, I will also vote against Bush if Ronald Reagan returns from the dead and fully revived to run against Bush.

Another note, I just stopped playing The Who in favor of breaking out my vinyl soundtrack to the movie, Heavy Metal.
