A personal message from Jack Chick

Back in 1943 I was drafted into the Army. I was completely naïve. I heard about homosexuals but didn’t understand or care about what they did. There was almost an air of innocence, because it wasn’t discussed.

Years later, after my daughter was born, a neighbor told of a sailor who raped a man in our town – I was shocked to say the least! I spent 3 years in the military and never even knew this went on.

Well beloved, times have changed. The sodomites went on the offensive and Christians, being polite, kept quiet, hoping they would go away. They didn’t! This godless crowd got louder and louder and grew in numbers.

After 1965 the Ten Commandments were gone and kids were taught that evolution was true. Across the country, pastors in thousands of churches stopped preaching about God’s fiery judgment. They feared even to mention the word hell – it was the H-word, to be avoided at all costs, lest someone be offended!

So with hardly any opposition, the sodomites and their aggressive gay machine became a force to control politicians, judges, the media and finally our school systems. Their weapon was a single word, tolerance, and all opponents were put to flight.

In 1940 who on earth would even dream the day would come when a flaming sodomite would sit in front of a first grade class, reading a book for 3-7 year-olds, entitled, Gloria Goes to Gay Pride? Our godless school system intends to push the gay agenda from kindergarten through college. And it’s already happening.

Our television is an open sewer, glorifying the homosexual lifestyle, making the “straights” (non-gays) look like a bunch of idiots.

Satan has the backing of the courts, trying to shut the mouths of God-fearing pastors, who still have the courage to preach about it from the book of Romans, who show what God thinks of homosexuality and what He did to Sodom and Gomorrah. I believe the time will soon come when godless judges will close churches that call being gay a sin.

But what about our children being brainwashed and force-fed the lie that “gay is good?” What can be done to block this gay wave rolling into our classrooms?

I never dreamed that we would need a tract to help stem this tide in our schools. But I believe God has given us the perfect tract for kids. It’s simply called “Birds and the Bees.” Beloved, most people have no idea what schools are teaching our kids. Don’t think that children shouldn’t read this. They already know about it. It’s going on behind your back, on your TV and in your school. So please, let the kids read “The Birds and the Bees.” It could save them from a homosexual nightmare in the future.

Actually I think you got your reading of Romans turned on its head. It speaks of people who have gone against God, like malicious speakers of half truths and hatred (gossips, slanderers, etc.) that were given up to 'unnatural' acts. Reading between the lines here you must be saying that gay people are gay for rejecting God and being hateful towards others. :? While it is no secret gays have a low opinion of religion exactly who here is on the offensive and is giving hearty approval to those who do the same acts worthy of death?

"HOMOSEXUALITY IS A SIN"

True. Well, at least according to certain verses in the Bible. Three passages to be exact. However, this does not let the Fundamentalist off the hook. In each occasion where we read of God's displeasure with homosexual behavior, we also read of other displeasing behaviors that either God says he doesn't like but Fundamentalists ignore, or that Fundamentalists dislike and yet God seems to think is okay. Confused? You should be.

The most common reference against homosexuality comes from a story in Genesis. In Chapter 18 of the book, we see God about to destroy the evil twin cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. God sends two angels to warn the one godly family of the imminent demise of these cities, only to have the locals demand that these two angels, who appeared like men, come out so they could have sex with them. Of course this didn't please God very much. However, Lot, the father of this one so-called godly family, does an interesting thing. In chapter 19, verse 8, the Bible tells how Lot offered to give his virgin daughters to these men so that they might rape them instead. Is this how God wants us to protect ourselves from the "homosexual agenda," by offering to let them rape our virgin daughters? Ask that to the Fundamentalist and see how much they squirm.

Likewise, in the Old Testament Book of Leviticus, we're told it is wrong for a man to be with another man. However, within the same book we are also told that it is wrong to eat pork. If Fundamentalists use the Leviticus verses, simply ask them when was the last time they had bacon. According to the same Old Testament book that condemns the practice of homosexuality, they would also be condemned to hell for eating a BLT sandwich. However, they would not be committing sin if they still owned slaves, since Leviticus tells us such activity is okay. Think the Fundamentalists will agree with that?

Forced out of the Old Testament in their crusade against homosexuality, the Fundamentalist will quote from Romans, or more specifically from 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, both written by the Apostle Paul. He offers a list of sins that will keep a person out of Heaven. Among them is homosexual behavior. However, also listed among these is adultery. Such a revelation won't phase the Fundamentalists until you remind them that in Luke 16:18 Christ defined a man or woman who has divorced and remarried as also being an adulterer. Ask these Fundamentalists how many of their church's members have been divorced and remarried. Then ask them if their church performs the weddings for these adulterous members. If homosexuality is to be condemned, should not these fellow church goers also be condemned? Challenge these Fundamentalists to go back to their churches and apply the same rules to their adulterous remarried members as they apply to homosexuals. What? They won't do it? Why on earth, then, are they picking on homosexuals? Are they selecting one sin as being worse than another? Of course they are - and you've just called them to the carpet for it. Why are they allowed to commit some sins yet feel free to condemn someone else's?

I never took a liking to Dungeons and Dragons because I never considered it an RPG. You have to roll for stats and based off that you get to choose your class. Just seemed to rigid for my tastes.

I have played Vampire: The Masquerade many times and I enjoy that thoroughly. So, like many of you I am a "nerd" though I have a great distate for the "game" they call D&D.

I have played Vampire: The Masquerade many times and I enjoy that thoroughly. So, like many of you I am a "nerd" though I have a great distate for the "game" they call D&D.

In the 3rd version they've taken away the prerequisites, so you can choose whatever class you want.

Still, I prefer the Swedish version of D&D. There you get a fixed number of points to buy stats and skills. Gives much more control over character creation.

See I like that. In Vampire they give you a predetermined number of points in a point-set and you decide what categories (in attributes and skills) the point-sets will be distributed to.

Likewise, in the Old Testament Book of Leviticus, we're told it is wrong for a man to be with another man. However, within the same book we are also told that it is wrong to eat pork. If Fundamentalists use the Leviticus verses, simply ask them when was the last time they had bacon. According to the same Old Testament book that condemns the practice of homosexuality, they would also be condemned to hell for eating a BLT sandwich. However, they would not be committing sin if they still owned slaves, since Leviticus tells us such activity is okay. Think the Fundamentalists will agree with that?

Forced out of the Old Testament in their crusade against homosexuality, the Fundamentalist will quote from Romans, or more specifically from 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, both written by the Apostle Paul. He offers a list of sins that will keep a person out of Heaven. Among them is homosexual behavior. However, also listed among these is adultery. Such a revelation won't phase the Fundamentalists until you remind them that in Luke 16:18 Christ defined a man or woman who has divorced and remarried as also being an adulterer. Ask these Fundamentalists how many of their church's members have been divorced and remarried. Then ask them if their church performs the weddings for these adulterous members. If homosexuality is to be condemned, should not these fellow church goers also be condemned? Challenge these Fundamentalists to go back to their churches and apply the same rules to their adulterous remarried members as they apply to homosexuals. What? They won't do it? Why on earth, then, are they picking on homosexuals? Are they selecting one sin as being worse than another? Of course they are - and you've just called them to the carpet for it. Why are they allowed to commit some sins yet feel free to condemn someone else's?

I never took a liking to Dungeons and Dragons because I never considered it an RPG. You have to roll for stats and based off that you get to choose your class. Just seemed to rigid for my tastes.

I have played Vampire: The Masquerade many times and I enjoy that thoroughly. So, like many of you I am a "nerd" though I have a great distate for the "game" they call D&D.

In the 3rd version they've taken away the prerequisites, so you can choose whatever class you want.

Still, I prefer the Swedish version of D&D. There you get a fixed number of points to buy stats and skills. Gives much more control over character creation.

Not to mention that the GM can make up house rules if he/she wants. We used to roll stats, but after we had already chosen a character class. This time around we had to use the points system, which is cool too unless you have a habit of rolling really well. =)

For instance, how many Christian bankers are there in this country? If you were living during the middle ages, those Christians would be committing a sin, according to the belief at the time. Back then, there was a sin called usury. You might have heard of it: basically it's lending money with interest. This is pretty much what banks do. Good Christians were told back then to never do such a thing. But when they were trying to build up cities in Europe, it was realized that you needed such banking practices n order to keep the finances of the city going. Well the Christians weren't going to do it. So who was it going to be? The answer: Jews. It was felt that, hey, they're heathen's anyway who don't believe in our god, they can sin all they want, and keep our city thriving.

But later on Jews were envied because of the money they were accumulating through this. After all, if you are a banker, you're definitely making a lot. Plus, if you control a nations money, you pretty much got them by the... wallets. People didn't like that, especially the religious powers that be, and they were determined to get in on the action. It's one of the major reasons why the Inquisition got started. It also helped to continue a deep seeded hatred for Jews, which would later lead to the Holocaust that I mentioned earlier.

Now, usury isn't a sin anymore, and because people don't really study history thoroughly, especially the history of their own religions, no one bats an eyelash, or wonders why this is. And if someone points that out, they basically get something like "Well, things are different now", or "We make mistakes." Well, duh. But who says you're not making mistakes now? And who says you finally figured out what's right? People thought they had it right back then.

Back to the bible: Leviticus isn't the only book I've read, but I mentioned it because THAT'S WHERE THE LAWS WERE WRITTEN. Anyone who has a very basic knowledge of the bible would know that. As far as teaching against the idea, I'm certain there is no statement in there saying something like "thou shalt not look at images with naked people mating in it", not "thou shalt not make images with naked people mating in it". There are laws against prostitution, there are laws against adultery, there are many marital relations laws. But there is nothing in there blatantly going against porn, even in the abstract. I'm not saying is something great that Christians should lighten up and indulge in, I'm simply pointing out that one can't use the bible, nor Christian law, to go against it (especially since Christian law always seems to be changing). Say it's deeming to women, say it's immoral, say that it gives people the wrong idea about what health sex is. You'll make a better point, and win more respect.

Old testament law and New Testament law is different, true. Too bad it was Paul, and not Jesus, who did the changing. I seem to remember Jesus saying "not one jot, or one title, from the law shall be changed.", though I might have messed that up, my memory is a little foggy. Still, he stated that he didn't come to change the law, but to fulfil it. Check it out; it's in the gospels. The guy who changed everything around was Paul. Don't believe me? Check it out for yourself. And check out many works by honest theologians while you're at it. Humans love changing things around when they don't like what's there. What gets me is when they try to link it back to the source. It's a nice effort, but it isn't true.

1. Own up to it
2. Learn from it.
3. Remember it.
4. Atone for it.

Seriously, a poll on a different thread gave in about 20% gays on NS. Is Max Barry in some sort of conspiracy about getting us all together so we can exchange our ideas for the taking over of the world or something? :lol:

Well...*puts on stats geek glasses* what you have to realize is that any poll on Nationstates suffers from Voluntary Response Bias and is thus inaccurate. The problem with Voluntary Response Polls are that those people who are more strongly inclined to express their opinions make more of an effort to vote. Now, I'm not saying this is true...but it's a possibility that gay pride (might just be an illusion, I know) is stronger than straight pride and thus an disproportionate number of gays participated in that poll.
