Quite hard to prove that this listing is actually correct...

actually, i believe it wouldn't be too hard to track down, considering that all those rich people have pretty good records establishing their family trees back to when they all came over on the fucking mayflower or whatever.

apparently, they are both also related to hugh heffner.

Hmmm Hugh Hefner you say...It's just one big happy family.

Hey is Bush's brother called Jeb, or was it just my imagination? What the hell is wrong with his family, he names his son after him (and fair enough) and then another one called Jeb? Even if that's a nick, it's a horrible one.
That whole family just annoys the f--k outta me....*breathes* getting too worked up here...

Kissin' cousins?
Which one acts like they's from the deep south?
Just joshin.
Good post Auburn. Possibility for a lot of interesting arguments.

They're 12th cousins. I think Bush is also related to Princess Di and Tony Blair some ways back to. Actually if you take an average of about four kids per generation and take it 12 places and add the last three together, you get about 20 million living descendents, so the odds aren't really that long.

thanks,

People act like there is a huge differance between Kerry and Bush when in reality there is not.

This is just more proof of it.

Umm, yes, they're cousins, but twelve generations removed. I'd bet there are tens of millions of people related to them if you go that far back..
It proves nothing, but it's interesting nonetheless.

Doesn't surprise me... 34 of the 43 US Presidents so far come from the same bloodline.

John Winthrop was a famous pilgrim. He came to the Massachusetts Bay colony. He gave the "City on a Hill" speech. Just thought you might wanna know.

There's also a connection to the English Royal family.

i read somewhere that they've connected them within 9 generations now. and it's probably closer than that.

and it's funny how the rich and powerful now are more-or-less all descended from the rich and powerful of the past, isn't it?

Go back far enough and we're all related. Something like this came out in 2000 and I believe Gore and Bush were related through multiple branches of the family tree.

Here's a better connection for you--Howard Dean's grandmother was a bridesmaid in George W. Bush's grandmother's wedding. It's not a blood connection--just an example of how connected wealth is in this country.

Kinda yesterday's news the whole Bush/Kerry cousin thing. The was a story on the drudge report about that a long time ago. Besides, a lot of politcal families are connected to each other so it's not very uncommon. Of course it makes a lot of sense that they be related. Bush - A big goverment liberal republican and Kerry - A big goverment liberal democrat. The connection runs deep

And tons of 'em were in the upper Echelon (is that the right term?) of the Freemasons Society
