Right-Wing Fantasy

I, Right-Wing Fantasy, have been accused of being immature. It may be hard for some of you to believe, but this is because my nation is not really conservative. I post stereotypical whacko-right responses on political and social issues, often accusing people of being communist homosexuals. Is this immature? Yes. However, I'm only responding to the immaturity and absurdity of what passes as politics in the USA.
Our nation is divided into 2 camps: "liberal" and "conservative." You must belong to one or the other, and you must believe with all your heart that the other is wrong. If you choose to be liberal, you must tolerate being called a hippy, a communist, a terrorist sympathizer, or a traitor. Your sexuality will also most likely be called into question. You may not be Christian. If you are a conservative, you must tolerate being called a heartless fascist, sellout to big business and a religous fanatic.
Each side takes issues that you must agree with. Liberals must be pro-life, conservatives pro-choice (not pro-abortion, anti-abortion, mind you.) Liberals must be pro-environment and anti-business, conservatives must be anti-environment and pro-business (because it's IMPOSSIBLE to be both.) Every issue must have two sides: liberal and conservative.
These debates stretch back into history. Ask any liberal if Ronald Reagan really ended the Cold War, and they'll blow a gasket. Ask conservatives if FDR really ended the Depression and they'll launch into a storm of bullshit about trickle-down economics.
Look at the presidential campaign. Bush's desertion from the National Guard (let's call it what it is) has turned into a hot-button issue. I'm 17, and I'll never get a job in my life if people judge me by what I'm up to these days. John Kerry's anti-war activities have come under similar scrutiny. So what if he was a radical? He should be applauded for being so passionate about politics at such a young age.
I hate to pick on the right, but look at Anne Coulter's book "Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terrorism." Are you kidding me? If half the country (yes, half the country is liberal, the other half is conservative,) really wanted our nation to crumble under the Soviet jackboot, it would have happened. If hippies and trade unionists took common cause with Osama, there'd be a civil war, not one isolated terrorist incident. This book was a best seller. So was Al Franken's "Lying Liars." I love Al's comedy, but calling the leaders of our country a bunch of crooks is far fetched and libelous.
So, before you condemn ol' Right-Wing Fantasy for acting childish, look at yourselves. Are you just a mindless cheerleader for your little "team?" Ask yourself, do you care about our country and want the best for it, is that why you hate the other side so much? Do you put your duty as a citizen to select a just and fair government by the wayside to participate in our little political Superbowl?
