Just an unusual news story from today's Yediot Ahronot (Israeli daily in Hebrew), partial translation mine:
Soldiers of the Givati brigade conducted "suspect arrest procedure" against a young couple who were approaching the Kfar Darom army base while carrying a bag. After stopping them by warning shots in the air, the soldiers discovered that the two carried no weapons or explosives. The young Palestinian couple told the investigators: "We have been dating for six years, but our families do not allow us to marry each other. Without hope for getting married, life is pointless, and so we came to the base so the soldiers would shoot us."
The couple was searched and released.
