all right an ionized laser beam would it be accepted as mod tech let me explane some of its working
im thinking of focusing ions in to a laser compacting the ions in with the laser to crate an ion beam weve had lasers for a wile now is that possible ?

Surely it would depend on the size and power of it?

If you are thinking of C&C:G - ZH US tech, I doubt it would be accepted as modern. There simply isn't anything like that in service with any military.

It doesn't even sound possible to me...the wording is wrong too:

Light
Amplification by
Stimulated
Emission of
Radiation

And as ions aren't photons, it can't be a laser.

I dont think so.

I believe, but it may not be true, that the military is experimening to try to find a way to get electrons into a laser, or electric charge into a laser, but I dont think they have made any progress.

yeah I was wondering about that myself
although light ions sound pretty sweet

Ion Cannon's are future tech.

Depends on your definition of an "ion cannon". An ionic tether is very much possible.
