I am trying to say goodbye to a girl whom I've loved for several years now. We were in a serious relationship and then I moved 2700 miles away, but we kept it up. Its too hard now and I have to say goodbye and break off connections. How the hell am I supposed to do this?

Do it face to face if you can, by phone if you cannot. Whatever you do, don't do it in a letter or especially in an email. If you've been in a relationship that long, she deserves to hear it straight from your mouth.
And it's possible that she feels the same way--long distance relationships are horrible all the way around.
