ROUND 3 BRACKET 3 (Modern Warfare)

NOTE: The Round with the Roots vs. U2 was actually in The Pile Bracket... My mistake! This is the actual Round 3 of the Modern Warfare Bracket.



Okay here's how the voting goes. Since the polls can easily be manipulated this is the voting system we will use:

If you post your vote with a nation of 75 posts or more, that vote counts as two. The poll votes count as 1. Technically your vote can be counted as three votes, if you vote both in the poll and post what you voted for.

However, even with this system in place this entire poll can be easily manipulated. So I ask you, please don't... Let's not cheat shall we?

Also, I'd like arguements from both sides on why that particular band (in this case, Linkin Park or Green Day) should win. So please feel free to post long paragraphs regarding the merits of either Linkin Park or Green Day.

Linkin Park all the way. They have a sound that is nothing like anything anyone else plays. Green Day is just another band, they're so mass produced it hurts. LP brings a fresh sound that you can't hear anywhere else.

I can't bring myself to vote for either one, as they're both (largely) pants. Absolutely pants. Generic, unoriginal, banal, uninspired and derivative.

But in their defence I'll say that LP isn't as obnoxious as other rap-rock outfits, and ocassionally sound vaguely interesting. Credit to the DJ guy for that.

We'll say this. I bought a Linkin Park cd and a Green Day cd. I didn't give the Green Day cd to somebody for nothing.

Green Day has consistenly put good stuff out, while Linkin Park has had only a few good songs.

Both are terrible bands that need to learn how to play their instruments, and stop with the three-chords-and-repeat headache.

The only LP song I've heard on the radio and liked is called "Numb", while I've heard multiple Greenday songs on the station that I've liked.

Both bands suck, both unoriginal, uncreative, 'cookie cutter' music, if you could even call it music.

Someone once told me linkin park chose their name so they'd be close to limpbizkit on alphabetical lists and such, so people see their name.

Who cares? Both bands are horrible. The ones that have said it before me said it well. They're unoriginal, playing the same three chords over and over, slamming on their guitars without a clue in the world about music. Idiots, both of them. Purely amateur, and purely pathetic. I don't think we should stand for it, there are countless of better bands out there. Linkin Park is a joke and I feel genuinely sorry for anyone who likes them.

Green Day. Linkin Park are a boy band with guitars. OK, so Green Day's music isn't as technical as something like Meshuggah, but at least they play their own three chords.
