Why do people feel the need to point out Spam?
If Spam is Spam, it's pretty damn obvious that it is Spam. Why does everybody feel the need to point it out?
We see pictures of Spam cans, people yelling "OMG it's Spam!", posts insulting personal hygine, etc. Unless I'm mistaken, people post Spam to either increase their posts counts, goof around, or to just be a jackass. If they're post whoring, then by responding with the "OMG it's Spam!" you give room for them to respond and increase their count more. If they're just joking around then they probably already know it's Spam, and declaring it as such doesn't really do much. If they're just being a jackass, then why bother even responding?
It just seems pointless to me. Why bother pointing it out?

There are two sure ways to increase your post count. Making spam, or telling the mods about it. The more people spam, the more people will be able to report it. We're symbiotic! Just think, if some people didn't have spam to report, just what would they do? Would they resort to spam themselves? That would be my guess. Oh, by the way:
