This is really inane, but why don't Mormon Angels have wings?

Just a small (and possibly incorrect) tidbit.
There is actually only one instance in the bible where Angels are described as having wings, and then they aren't used for flight (the Angels aren't even flying).
It's when Elijah is spoken to by God, and his messengers (which, in the Jewish bible, are all that Angels are) are winged. However, the wings are folded forward and used to cover their groins (they are otherwise unclothed).
Just a random tidbit.

Recently Raysia posted an article (I believe the thread title was smth like "What's up with this?") detailing how a bunch of Evangelical Christians camped outside some Mormon convention and proceeded to use the said undergarments to wipe up prespiration and other bodily secretions.
