It sure seems like it.

All I ever see here is stupidity and hatred. Take the recent "arson at Jeff Davis' estate" thread for instance. It starts off bad, with the underlying message being racist. Then people start saying stuff like "Good! I hope it burns down because Confederates were teh BAD!" People basically start saying that the unpleasant parts of history should be erased. Then people are like, "It's a Zionist conspiracy! The Jews are behind it all!" Then one guy thinks that Jefferson Davis is still alive, and says that he deserved the arson.

Then there's this "I hate France/America/A-rabs/Jews/whatever" bullshit. People go around saying stupid shit like, "I don't capitalize the a in america because I hate it so :x (constipated smiley)," or "nuke France!!"

Of course there are the partisan idiots I love so much. They have blind hatred for the other side, no matter what. Like the people who will never accept that maybe there are some nice Republicans/Democrats, and who have knee-jerk reactions about anyone and anything associated with one side. They son't even bother to look into the things they form opinions of.

Then there's my personal favorite: people who flame you for no particular reason. It's happened to me several times. Someone will just come into a thread that I have said nothing offensive in, and act like a dick. There are some people-- many are prominent posters-- who live to flame. I personally think that they do it because they are jerks in real life, but get punched in the face a lot, so they shift their focus to the internet, where they can avoid getting their asses kicked. I'm tempted to mention names, but I won't, because that would basically go against what I'm trying to say right now, and those people know who they are.

This is disgusting, people! Am I the only one who's sick and tired of this bullshit?
